Not just a 256 player free-for-all, the MAG battlefield is broken down into smaller skirmishes to take full control of the ensuing mayhem.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

MAG Reloading For Release In 2010?
The thinning Fall 2009 release list looks like it's getting one release thinner today, as online retailers are pointing to a delay for MAG, Zipper Interactive's massive action game for the PlayStation 3, which is now aiming for January 2010.
Both GameFly and GameStop are listing the title for release during the month of January 2010. Those retailers were expecting MAG on November 24 of this year as of a week ago. When the PlayStation 3 game was being shown at E3, Sony Computer Entertainment America pegged MAG's release date more vaguely, as a "Fall 2009" title.
Earlier this year, Sony named MAG, along with God of War III, as one of the PS3 titles that would ship during its fiscal 2009, a window that extends to March of 2010.
While Sony hadn't yet applied a firm release date to the online shooter, it's looking less likely that the game will make that Fall window, if retailer listings are correct.
We've contacted SCEA to get confirmation on MAG's slip, but have not yet heard back.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

no problem with this. It means more time to perfect the online code which always seems to be broken on online games when they release.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

Re: MAG (PS3)
I think the teams are not balanced at all.
One team is a rag-tag group of warriors, another is the traditional looking military, and then the last is the awesome high tech, highly trained, team Raven. Gee wonder who everyone will pickWoooooooooooo Pig Sooie!Comment

I assume they will find a way to balance the teams.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

Re: MAG (PS3)
Agreed, it would completely break the game if they didn't balance them out. I wouldn't be worried about that.
"Tradition?" LOL, I guess this is just another post to continue your tradition of transparent bias.
I suppose MAG will have a 6 GB hard drive install, too? (Even though none of the games I own have anywhere near that, and I have yet to see one that does).Last edited by pfunk880; 07-17-2009, 11:16 PM.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: MAG (PS3)
Personally, I cant wait for this game.
One of the developers said they have a team of guys working to create their own server to make sure the game plays well with little lag. I saw a live demo from IGN and it looked like the game played smoothly even with that many people.
There will be 128 people on each side. All broken down into squads of 8 with one squad leader. The game will determin who the squad leader is based on ones experience. Then, there will be guys who control everyone. So, it all sounds pretty interesting and real to life of how platoons and squads work. Everyone takes orders from someone. So, the insentive to make this all work is you gain more experience doing what your squad leader tells you.
Its going to be like Battle Field except bigger and more squad based tactics.
I also hear that there are perks, weapon attachments, and you can customize your character.
Now, we will just have to see if the game performs as well as they make it sound.Comment
