I just picked up a 360 this weekend and I am looking for something to hold me over until Madden. I don't play online so looking for a great single player game. I tried Bioshock but couldn't get into it.

Bully: Scholarship Edition was an enjoyable game. Kept me busy for around 20 hours for the story and then another 10 hours to get all the achievements.
I can also vouch for Oblivion, GTA IV and Assassin's Creed. Also Test Drive Unlimited if you like driving/racing games...it was marketed at a MMO-Racer but I turned off the online options and enjoyed it immensely in SP for about 40 hours.Comment

Single player gaming just ain't what it used to be. I don't know if the games suck now or that I've just seen it all before. I haven't played anything outside of sports games that has managed to keep my interest for a long time. It seemed like they thought outside the box more last gen. Give me something creative like Indigo Prophecy and I'd be good.
Anyways, I thought Oblivion was pretty good. I'm not much of an RGP guy but I played the heck out of it.Comment

I felt the same way about Bioshock as pjv31 did. I just couldn't get into it.
It took me all of 15 minutes before I got bored of it.
I also despised Oblivion. After taking 30 minutes of getting out of the sewers and killing two cat-woman (who seemed to be fighters because they had a lot of weapons) I got pretty ticked when I got beat-up by a bar-wench after she blocked all my sword shots with her bare forearms.
I would recommend Mass Effect as well. That was a fun game.
I've also enjoyed the Hitman games and Rainbow Six was a blast as well.
I might even pick up Tomb Raider Legends. That game is supposed to be fun and it's only $20.Last edited by Money99; 07-30-2008, 10:48 AM.Comment
