By the way, the trailer showed him pushing a bench table up a slope, so I suppose you can do that, which would be really cool! I think I'm still digging the 60 FPS the most, though... plus the new environments. I still hope they kept some parts simple, though.

you're right, I was reading the IGN hands-on report and it said:

Anything that you see that would be moveable by a real person can be pushed and pulled around in the game. Benches and small ramps are the two most common candidates here, both of which allow you to set up custom lines or new ways to access various areas. All of this editing is done in the game, in realtime, as opposed to popping out to an overhead editor or something of that nature. And again, if something is too big to move in real life, you won't be able to move it in the game (so no shoving around busses or large shipping crates).

Looking forward to that a lot. Being able to put objects in your line should help with the point multipliers on some challenges if it is like it was in the first skate.

I hope this supports custom soundtracks for the PS3 as well.

That's the other big thing. I just hope that this will be incorporated in all games by the in-game XMB.

They havent released any info about online yet, which could be big...and also, they havent said anything about skate reel...hopefully they'll give you a ton more options to make somewhat of a skate video.

Youtube has some great skate videos from the first game.

This kid's vids are tight...He tries to keep it realistic which I like.

They havent released any info about online yet, which could be big...and also, they havent said anything about skate reel...hopefully they'll give you a ton more options to make somewhat of a skate video.

yeah now that the PS3 supports uploading vids to Youtube, I wish they'd build that into the PS3 version so that I didn't have to deal with EA's site. It was a nightmare last year to get my vids to show up.

I can't even get into my PSN account on EA's site,I tried to link it to my EA ID but I don't think it worked. I'm stuck with the 360 one so the few NCAA vids I had are in limbo I guess.

Speaking of wich I need one more review/rating on this for an achivement (I think,might've gotten it since last I checked)

That's awesome!

I worked hard on doing some awesome jumps off this one ramp in The Res, but ended up with a pretty funny bail IMO. Not really the bail, but the random skater at the end is pretty funny too.

The only problem I have with Skate 2 is that I'm not sure whether they can improve the game enough to be worth 60 bucks. Skate is as close to a perfect game as I think I've played, it was innovative, fun, well designed, just a great game. Sure, there were some minor issues with it, not being able to walk, missing hand grabs and a few other tricks, but on the whole, it's one of the best games I've ever played, and I have so few complaints with it that I'm not sure if fixing those complaints warrants an entirely new game. It goes against every EA philosophy, they should have known to include a few major bugs and include a few flaws in their design so that I'd spend less time loving the original and more time looking forward to the next chance to drop more money.

I disagree. Although skate was an incredible innovative game, i felt the ability to walk around would benefit the game enormously. Now skate 2 is also more than doubling the amount of tricks at your disposal. Now combine that with the fact that you can move things around the environment to create your own lines, plus the un announced features this game is much improved and a must buy for me.
