    Re: Skate 2

I played skate last night for the first time in a long time, 60 FPS is definitely needed. I never realized how choppy the graphics were in this game when I first played it, but since I've played some many other graphically supreme games since then, the low framerate of skate is definitely noticable.

For sure, and it will be a godsend to this franchise (and many other games that have been behind). 60 frames per second is way underrated IMO. I didn't like Bad Company because of this, loved COD 4 because of this, and... you know, it just really does make the difference. Same with anti-aliasing (or soft-edging like GTA). Put these two things in Skate, and wow.

I just finished the original game two days ago. I haven't done all the hidden spots and I haven't bought all the clothes/equipment, but I finished the main stuff. It was a very fun ride and there wasn't really any downtime in between when I would just free-roam. I've already clocked in 35 hours playing as well. It's just an addicting game like GTA and doesn't get old IMO. I still explore places I haven't seen in this game.

I only hope Skate 2 is enough of a refreshment though, you know? By the time it comes out (?), I hope I didn't catch every cool thing about this game that will get tiring a few hours in on the sequel. I thought Skate was massive, map- and story-wise. I only hope Skate 2 really expands on both of these.

I hope they get rid of the races. I didn't like those at all. 70% luck based I'd say.
