COD 4 or GTA 4

I cant decide which one to get for my 360 I want get soon, so which one of these games would get or want to get first.

COD 4 easily. One of my favorite games of all time. I had hardly played it over the last month and half though and with NCAA out now and Madden/Head Coach tomorrow, I bit the bullet and traded it in. Was hard to do, but I did.

GTA got very boring to me pretty quickly, but all the GTA games do, so not sure why i fall for the hype each time.

COD4 has a lot longer lasting appeal, IMO. GTA4's multiplayer was just kind of "meh" and the single player got really repetitive.

Overall I've enjoyed GTA4 more than COD4. Probably because GTA was new to me - I barely played the prior GTA's. COD4 was yet another shooter, but one of the best I've played.

Both games are excellent at what they do. It's really about what you'd rather be:
-a British/American soldier following his leaders into a war?
-a professional assassin/big job thief trying to survive in criminal New York?

They both do each respective thing better than anyone on the market.

COD4 would be your best bet. GTA is good but for me got boring quick, where as COD4 is still entertaining for me.

GTA's single player will last longer. I don't like online play so I don't know about that.

If you're playing online more the it's COD4 but if you're more of an offline player then I'd say get GTA 4.

GTA 4 by far. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and I never could get into COD 4. GTA's story and voice-acting is phenomenal and will keep you entertained for months.

I'd say COD4 by a mile. I still play it almost every day and is easily one of my favorite games of all time. I was really pumped for GTA4 but it got old after about 2 weeks.

GTA is fun and should be a must play, they both are. I got 100% in GTA4 and 1000/1000 in CoD4, and CoD4 is the total package. The online is great, the single player campaign is amazing, and it's a better buy between the two games..

GTA wouldn't even touch my 360 anymore if it weren't for free roam with my good friend. I've never seen a game lose it's appeal as fast as GTA did for me.

yeah, it did for me too, but it was still fun the first time through. I couldn't be bothered to do it a 2nd time for the 30 hour achievement. I don't even own it anymore, and will look into how good the DLC actually is before I get it again.
