Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
The combat is all about patience really, you can't just keep tapping square randomly. For most encounters I wait for a guy to come at me and counter him then get started. Just aim at a guy, tap square and wait for the animation to kick in then repeat. I've found that when I really get in a groove it's probably about a full second between taps. Don't just tap square and randomly aim. Also use the R Stick to move the camera around when he slows down to hit the guy to help select your next opponent. Get used to how far Batman can travel when stringing combos, if the guy is on screen at all basically you'll be able to hit him even if he's on the other side of a platform or something. If there are a lot of guys usually I try and take at least one or two out asap with the Triangle+Circle takedown move to keep things from getting to crazy and I've found it's way easier to keep you combo going than with just the ground takedown.
The only thing that really gives me trouble is when I assume I'll be out of range when an enemy is attacking me or I'll see him coming and try and attack him but be just to late and get hit. I have a hard time getting combos once the guys with the electric batons come in but even the knife guys are pretty easy to handle once you get in a little groove.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
get the combat upgrades that allow you to attack someone immediately as you land a hit; that one will do wonders for your combos. I can regularly get double digit combos. I still didn't get the 50 yet. Maxed out at 42 when
Spoileryou first enter Arkham Mansion and have to battle ten guys at onceHELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Man i posted earlier that fight was a b**** on hard. Mostly because the goons take so much damage on hard. Luckily in the middle of comboing i could throw the batarang at Bane while evading and continuing to pummel the goons. Took me a while to get my timing and distance down.HELLO BROOKYLN.

SpoilerYou have to put explosive gel on Two wall's then blow them up at the same time that will knock out or kill the bad guys leaving the doctor alone.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Asylum
Blue have you tried throwing a batarang at him you should be able to hit him, that thing has some range on it.
Once you do just try and moves as fast as you can to a blind spot where he can't see you.
Also use the vision to see where his laser sight is so you can look at where he's aiming also.Comment

It feels great when you clear a room all in one fluid combo makes really feel like Batman.
This is what helped me land my 50 hit combo.
Batman just got put in the Guiness Records for the "Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever."
