Its not a joke, the thing is if its really going to come out. Very awesome concept. I was trippin when i saw there is no place to put the game, but i didn't realize that you download the game on to a harddrive. You know how much money we'll be saving money on games now??? No distrubution cost, or production of making games. I remember Sega did something with a cable company where you can play games from them. It was a long time ago, i can barely remember, but same concept. Anyone remember that? This was for the Sega Genisis.
I hope its not an expensive membership subscription. We'll jus have to wait and see.

Any news on the specs of the machine? (processor, video card, ram...etc.?)

From EGM, gathered through posts that the Infinium VP of Sales had made on various message boards:
          <ul type="square">[*]Windows XPe Operating System[*]2.0+ Ghz Intel or AMD cpu[*]256-512 MB DDR RAM[*]High-capacity hard drive[*]Wireless network card[*]Wireless controller, keyboard, mouse[*]Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound[*]$600+ retail price[/list]

This isn't a hoax, but it's also not the Next Big Thing. This is a few guys doing a startup, looking for Venture capitol, a big IPO, and a quick cash-out. This is the same wonky economics at the dotcom boom, but applied to videogames.
