My roommates and I majored in Mario Kart the 2nd semester of our junior year of college. Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are two of my favorite games of all time.

I still break out No Mercy when I'm bored.

To this day Ocarina of Time remains one of the best games I have ever played.

A couple years ago (my senior year in college) a bunch of us got an N64 and played the **** out of Mario Party that entire year... what a blast.

                A few other things though:

                1) I never knew it had overheating issues... I had one for about 8 years when they were released and never had a single problem.

                2) The article didn't mention that little "graphics enhancer" that went into the system later on that did some extra things with the 3d graphics (including making them look more crisp). I think the first game it released with was Rogue Squadron.

                3) I agree with the above poster... Ocarina of Time was AMAZING.

I second this. I just finally beat this game last year. An amazing game.

My roomie had the N64 hooked up at our place. We still break out some Battle Mode Mario Kart or some Goldeneye every once in awhile.

Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 007, No Mercy and Perfect Dark are 4 of the best games of all time, imo.

The N64 had overheating issues?!? Mine is still chugging however many years later and it's been played to death. I'm never getting rid of this thing. Never ever. I still play Mario Golf and Mariocart with friends.

Mario 64, Ocarina, Perfect Dark, Mariocart... they're all classics.

He probably wouldn't want to go back and get one.

World Tour, at the time, was the most important thing in my entire world.

The other installments in the series improved the game but there was nothing like playing the one that started it all with a morbidly obese Ric Flair.
