GBA SP is the real deal

Picked up my SP today and I am quite pleased. I have had a GBA since launch but never played it much because of the poor screen. Now with the built in light all that has changed. This thing looks great and the glare from third party lights is gone.

It is very tiny yet very comfortable. So far this thing has surpassed my expectations

        Mmmmmm........chips.

Is the SP in pretty much all stores already, or is it just certain ones that decided to break the street date?

Best Buy and Walmart is already stocking them on the shelves, at least here in Des Moines, with even the Walmart in the town I live in actually having it already as well, which is unusual since they release about 2 days later on most software vs Des Moines stores. Toys R Us did not have them and Comp USA refused to put them out until their 'sale' on Sunday, where you can buy the SP and a game for $99.

Best Buy had over 50 of each color on the shelf in each store. I picked one up this afternoon.

All the EBs and Gamestops are sold out other than the preordered copies. Target has them but won't be selling them until Sunday so I'll go pick one up then.

injunwal, is the control more comfortable than the regular GBA? I was playing Mario Kart on someone elses GBA and the cotroller didn't feel quite right.

I am not injunwal (thankfully) but while it does not look very comfortable it actually is. plus the trigger buttons are nice place to where they are easy to use but not always hitting them by mistake.

I want one but I don't know if I should get one now since I am getting into NASCAR.

Its sort of a toss up now between a nice wheel or a GBA SP.

but in the long run - I am sure I will have both.

LOL thats what happened to me... I was trying to find a Logitech wheel and had no luck so I got the GBA SP instead. Might go on a road trip in a couple weeks to go hunt for a wheel
