for those that play multiplayer, the ODST double EXP weekend stuff is pretty fun. The pistol, though useless in Halo 3, is deadly in this gametype.

Having played some of the new maps, I really don't care much for the remake of Midship. I didn't like it in Halo 2 but it grew on me. The remake, I don't really know how to say it, but it feels a bit more crowded - claustrophobic, if you will. Longshore is a lot of fun, I loved playing maps like that (Headlong, Terminal) in Halo 2 so hopefully that one won't get vetoed when it comes up.

Not only will you get access to the very same File Share enhancements offered by Bungie Pro, but our web team has also created a custom offering to allow your Campaign and Firefight Bungie Pro Video to be caught on film and played back on your computer screen.

Using Bungie Pro Video, you’ll be able to pinpoint any campaign or Firefight video you have in your File Share, select the player you wish to record, and provide a time stamp, start to finish, to signify where your desired clip should be shot from. The Bungie Pro Video system will take care of the rest.

This offerings isn't live quite yet, but when we turn it on, we'll let you know. Details, as always, are subject to change. When we have them pinned down, we'll pin them up so you can get a good look.

yup. though, unlike Gears of War 2, double EXP weekend only applies to that specific game type instead of everything.

Out side lost Platoon would be nice if ya had sniper rifles, . Getting that achievement would be easy.

There is a Double XP playlist in Halo 3 on every weekend. This weekends is really fun, I played it last night.

they didn't give FF matchmaking, so you can only play with people on your friends list.

That is frickin terrible. They should definitely patch this if they can. When I go on line there isn't a lot of friends who play this and matchmaking was a painless way to play multiplayer. This must be fixed if they can fix it.

ODST playlist is fun. Single headshot kills with the pistol is so satisifying. The carbine in ODST and in the double EXP playlist is the one that was in the Halo 3 beta, it's so awesome. I like the Citadel map. It's layout is pretty basic, but I thought it flowed nicely.

well it was one of the weird technical quirks from making a halo 3 expansion game with new features. Firefight is built on halo 3's co-op campaign gameplay code.

I'd imagine that this will be fixed if the mode is in Halo: Reach though, since they're doing a whole new engine and everything. It's kind of late to be doing massive reworking of the halo 3 engine code. A patch is unlikely since the game was finished sometime around May and the team was probably sent to other projects.

The reason there is no matchmaking is because firefight is based off campaign tech and the campaign levels. Its not an easy fix to put matchmaking into firefight. Don't expect it to happen.

Played the campaign for about an hour today. It was awesome, and also incredibly hard. I felt so venerable especially when the hunters came into play. I was running for my life.
