    Ride to Hell

Grand theft auto type game set out west in the late 60's. Biker gangs, sex, drugs, and rock n roll. what could be better?

I saw this and was like; Finally. Been waiting for vietnam/60's games to come out. This one looks like its going to be cool.

Trailer doesnt show much, more of a teaser than anything but its got me sold

Looks awesome. It should have a really amazing soundtrack at the very least.

Not sure what they were thinking to exclude Xbox Live play with this. If I could get together with a couple buddies and create a gang, it'd be a must buy. Still looks interesting though.

I love the time period, I hope the game is something worth playing.

            Re: Ride to Hell

"Deep Silver have licensed real-time satellite data for California, and compressed the landscape so you have just the interesting bits left. In total we're told that there's just over 95 square km of game world. If you're into your statistics, that's just over twice the size of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and three times the size of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas."

"The coolest feature shown off today is one that's central to Ride to Hell's biker conceit: modding your ride. Though you start off with Ray's rickety cherry-red Triumph, it's only a matter of time before you're able to build new bikes entirely from scratch, provided you have the cash. Deep Silver even go so far to say that if you happen to be the proud owner of a motorcycle, or just want to recreate the legendary Captain America chopper from the classic '60s road movie Easy Rider, you'll be able to replicate your ride in-game using the toolset. From forks to frame, we're told there are upwards of one trillion combinations, and that's before you even consider things such as paint jobs and decaling."

"Ride to Hell certainly has the atmosphere of the 1960s nailed. From the 300 era-perfect songs (including, yes, Born to be Wild) Deep Silver have licensed, to the mushroom-induced hallucinogenic trips you can send hapless Ray on, this is very much the decade your parents have a hard time remembering."

has anyone heard or seen anything on this game? Im shocked it wasn't at E3 or anything. Hopefully they are still making it. Wikipedia has it listed as a 2011 release date but there is nothing there to support it. everything official still says 2009 release date.

Yes. Nothing I can post here though.
I can say it is still in development.

                      how bout a PM maybe?

At least its still in development. I saw a gameplay video a while back but cant find it anymore. The game kind of just "went away" for a while.

Nah it's a page from a magazine so it's against the new and improved copyright rules. It has the main female character on the back of a bike,it's a render not in game. All she's wearing is boots and a headband. So it's rrrreeeaaaaalllllllyyyyyyy against the PG rule. Safe to say this'll be rated M.

oh, is it new? Or is it from an older magazine? At least we know its in development still. whats your best guess as to when we will start getting some info and ultimately a [solid] release date?

I have no idea how new it is. I'm guessing it's at least semi-new as I hadn't heard of it until I saw it. It was a download so there's no specific date or anything. If it is coming early next year I'd guess about October before there's more info.
