I don't have any 360 games that I haven't finished (aside from sports games obviously). Then again, I think I only have 6 actual games.

It's much easier for me to list the games I have finished: Uncharted, Halo 3, and Medieval 2:TW.
I made a list the other day of the games I want to finish. It made me a little sad that this will never happen. Work, kids, and my desire to run and get every hyped game that comes out won't allow it.Comment

Same here, I used to always buy a lot of games play them non stop for a couple weeks and end up not finishing them and going out and getting another game. I just repeated that cycle over and over again until I just stopped playing action/adventure games because I felt like I was wasting my money on something I wouldn't play much.Comment

I feel you Extreme.I used to be like that, but being an achievement whore, I've finished more games this gen than ever before.
Although, there's still some games that I don't finish because even with achievements I'm bored. Bad Company, the Indiana Jones Lego game, etc.
I think I've beaten 16 360 games this gen though. That's a ton for me! LOL
I know for a fact I've completed more Single player games and gotten more playtime out of most games because of Achievements. They just give me an easy to read set of goals.Comment

My problem is that when I get back to a game, I've totally forgotten how to play, the story, and usually start back over...and immediately it's repetition and makes the game more boring than it is. I've bought a ton of games this gen, and I don't finish the ones that aren't worthy even if I bought them.
I never finished GRAW and Halo3, because I personally didn't think they were good single player games and was happy to trade them in early for decent credit.
I never finished zero G fighters because it was too hard - lol at remembering that.
I'm starting to forget all the games I've owned because I'm trading most of them in eventually - even good ones like gears, rb6vegas, oblivion etc.. (beat those)
Right now my library is cod4, allpro, rockband, farcry2, fable2 and mass effect (trade in is $2). I'll be buying fallout3 on tuesday and i'm even thinking about ditching rockband - I know that I've already beat or will beat these, so that's good.
I try not to think of not finishing a game as a waste of money - it's more about all the games i've bought and if overall they've been good choices. Besides, what if you play mass effect (you really should see the ending) for 30 hours and don't beat it, and then beat a 6 hour game - does that mean you didn't get your money out of mass effect?Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

That is exactly what happens to me. I went back to play Oblivion the other day and I had no idea where I was in the story, no connection to the character. So when I started creating one I gotta aggrivated and just put another game in.

Wow! That absolutely floors me. I know Mass Effect is now a full year old, although I did not pick it up until very late in the spring....mass effect (trade in is $2)....
With the football releases, I never got around to finishing it....(maybe 60% in). It's far more valuable to keep such a great game than to get minimal trade-in.
My big problem is that I play so slowly and play too many games simulataneously that I never can take full advantage of their trade-in value. I do a bit better via the online auction route like most, but, still, by the time I'm ready to relenquish the game, it's definitely yesterday's news.
I can only recall finishing (complete main story line) four games this gen (Saint's Row 1, Bioshock, Oblivion, and GTA IV). And in all but one of those games I was no where near the 1000 GPs.
I wish I had the patience and self-control to wait 9-12 months post release to purchase these great games. I find though, the more I read these boards, the more I clamor to get my hands on the game and join in on the fun and the discussion. Darn you, OS! For the first time im my game life i have i finished 3 games on the 360. I beat Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, and Gears of War. I'm just happy that happend since i have not beat anything on the ps2 or ps3. Sadly i just add games to my collection. I have Little Big Planet and Fallout 3 next week. I won't finish either of those before Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 comes out the first week of November. I usually buy a game, get halfway through it, abandon it for like a year and then comeback and finish it. I know this makes no sense. I did this with like every Age of Empires game. Sports games and Lord of the Rings online suck up so much of my time that it takes me so long to finish non-sports games titles. The only exception is that earlier this year I rented Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty IV and finished them within the one-week rental span.

For non-sports games, I usually finish every game I start (unless the game itself is atrocious). But I too have not finished GTA IV. No real reason - I like the game and all, but just haven't been able to devote the time to it. It's pretty rare that I have a game sitting around that long (since release day) that I haven't beat. I will eventually though - and trophies coming out for the PS3 Monday might just be the boot in the *** that I need.
I never consider a sports game "finished" because I just keep going back to them over and over. Outdated rosters don't bother me like they do others, and I just dive right back into the gameplay.
Oh yeah, and I guess you could count Guitar Hero III's expert level. But I'll never beat Raining Blood, so I'm not really factoring that one in.Last edited by bcruise; 10-25-2008, 12:45 PM.Comment

I usually don't start a single-player game unless I know I'll be committed to beating it. I just recently started Fable 1 and plan on finishing that (could be done by the end of the weekend from what I hear). There are a couple games that my little brother rents and I'll pop in for a few minutes to fool around, but I don't consider those serious attempts at playing the game. The only game I have right now that I've started and haven't beaten after putting decent time into is Gears of War. Got about half way through and then just randomly stopped playing.Comment

I finish most all the games i get. If don't i get a feeling of being unsatisfied. Like JMood with GTA IV in like two weeks of the game i was on the last mission but i didn't finish it (but i sure as hell will) its going to be tough now with all these A+ titles out now/coming out soonComment

Finish games? What is that?
Last game I finished was Gears of War.
I'm over 90% in Uncharted, so I should be getting that done soon.
I've been playing more GTAIV again but just checked the stats and I'm only 23% through. Though, I guess I've done about 10% of that in the last few days. Finally opened up "Manhattan" and I've had this game since a week after release. Just haven't played it.
I own Oblivion and still have a long way to go. Another game I just go back to every couple of months and play for a week then stop.
I stopped playing Mass Effect, though I loved it. Sold it to my cousin. I hope to get back to it sometime in the future. It's too good a game not to complete.
BioShock also went incomplete. Still early in that game. I probably won't go back to it. Good game. Very good game. But, I never made time for it.
I'm going to start pushing myself to finish these games.
Other than GTAIV and Uncharted, I'll be working on Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga.
