Pokemon, yes i said it, Pokemon. Doesn't the franchise just scream for a MMO? The main story for the games is about becoming the best pokemon trainer/ MASTER the world has ever seen. That screams out for a good MMO. The entire pokemon world would be great for this. Going from town to town seeking new challenges and pokemons. There are already somewhere between 300-500 pokemon in the pokemon world i think.
Some of you may be laughing at the moment, but pokemon is still a very relevant franchise. The DS games sell millions of copies in mere hours. I know if a Pokemon MMO would be released. I would definitely buy it.
The sad thing is that Nintendo pretty much has no real reason to do so or no real reason to want to do so. And if they did, would we really want it to be from Nintendo? Their own console doesn't even have a real online mode to it.
I would love for them to partner up with a real developer who excels at an MMO and joint their forces together to deliver a game like no other. The imagination of Miaymoto and the infrastructure of a game like WOW would be a game to die for.
