I've been dissapointed with reviewers. Of the many complaints I'll just go with the most recent,they say one thing is terrible/disgusting/uncalled for in one game and then it's the best thing ever in another.

I was dissapointed that there was a Rock Band 2 when they said they wouldn't do yearly releases,it wasn't even a year.

Far as games themselves I think it's just Midnight Club. To be dissapointed you have to have expectations so all these big games I didn't like I didn't actually have much expectation to begin with.

I was dissapointed Battle Fantasia was 360 exclusive over here.

Dissapointed my 360 broke for the 5th time.

Dissapoitned that so much of Singstar on the PS3 is only for the UK.

I don't think any game disappointed as much as game reviews did for me this year.

So many off the mark, ridiculous reviews with their content not being an accurate review of their numerical score. Get rid of the numerical score because 9 times out of 10 it completely contradicts everything that you write.

They just continue to be bad. What makes it worse is that developers look to things such as metacritic for validation of their work. The entire system is a joke.

This about sums up what I think about most reviewers (though this is mainly about Golden Axe wich actually was what I was refering to last time as I saw comments that the dead bodies hanging around were disgusting and uncalled for but it was totally ok in Fallout 3 and added to atmosphere and was so cool...and yes I liked Golden Axe better than Fallout,not quite the 9 this guy gave it though).

Once upon a time to work as a game journalist at a magazine (before online) you had to be so exalted a gamer that you deserved the right to tell gamers what to buy. This is no longer the case, especially online. There are great reviewers out there; but they are few and far between and they don't review games at events. Do these people have a right to their opinion? Of course; it's whether or not they should have the right to affect yours that's in question.

Personally, I have to say it's GTA4 and to a slightly lesser degree NBA2k9. The other games I had hopes for I never even bothered w/ due to reviews and/or forum posts from people here and other sites, and I did not take the suicide leap by purchasing Madden 09. I enjoyed the Show, and Saints Row2(minus the freezing issues I'VE experienced)

MLB 2k8. Terrible game...enjoyed 2k7 MUCH more. It will be the last time I spend money on a baseball game until I get a PS3 and The Show.

Of course, that's what I say now until March-April rolls around.

I would say Madden, but in the end I knew it would disappoint me.

Overall it was a pretty good year for games but I would have to go with NHL 09.

All of the other games I bought I enjoyed. From looking at the hype vs. the reviews I would have to say its between Haze and Too Human.

TNA Impact, I was hoping for a second wrestling game to compete with Smackdown vs RAW and well Impact failed on a lot of levels. Wrestlers feeling all the same and a weak storyline. It also didn't sell well at all.
