Alternate costumes
At character selection screen, press Start when choosing a character.

Ultimate Icy Counter
While playing as Sub-Zero, press X(2), Down, Back, X or X(2) to perform Icy Counter. The game registers the opponent's knockback as an attack and can then be countered using Sub-Zero's Icy Counter. If done at the correct angle, you can miss your opponent when countering and set yourself up for another move while your opponent is still frozen.

My roommate bought this on Friday and I've wasted a ton of hours on this game already. It's so addictive, especially when you have people over and the loser has to keep passing the sticks. Man, I've watched the clock go from 2 pm to 10 pm and not even know what happened. I just wish there were more unlockables in the game, no alternate unis, only like 2 unlockable characters, no unlockable moves or anything.

The lack of depth will keep me from buying this game, but I had a chance to play it on a friend's XBOX and it's a fun game. Of course, I can pretty much pick up and Mortal Kombat game and pick Scorpion or Sub-Zero and have fun, but that's besides the point. I do like the mid-air combat (er... kombat) in particular, it's a nice new element.

Hopefully for the next MK game, they bring back the depth of the previous games, be it in create-a-fighter, more interactive stages (i.e. stage fatalities), the Krypt, etc. Also, more blood, guts, beheading, and dismemberment
