Re: CoD: World At War Vs. GoW 2 For X-Mas?

I traded my Gears of War 2 in for Left 4 Dead. And i was really hyped about Gears. the multiplayer killed it for me. I loved Horde mode though. Hence the love for Left 4 Dead.

Well, I just picked up CoD:WAW today... and I'm addicted to the multiplayer already.

I have CoD from gamefly right now but I like CoD 4 better than WaW. The spawning in WaW is awful and I don't see much of an upgrade from CoD 4. If anyone can help me, What does WaW offer that CoD 4 doesn't?

From what I've gathered... it's essentially CoD 4 in a new environment with new guns.

Yeah if you're looking for something way different than COD4, you won't find it. Theres not a whole lot of creativity there.. which is perfectly fine with me

GoW 2 is an upgrade over Gears 1 in every way. COD: WaW is not an upgrade over COD4 in really any way.

ChaseB I beg to differ. WaW is an upgrade imo. Don't take it personal I just disagree.

As opposed to JSKYWALKER1 (no offense), I actually see this to be a valid point. I think GoW definitely improved since the last game, and Horde mode on Live is an excellent and very addictive game mode. World at War isn't a huge improvement over CoD4, but like I have mentioned, it just takes place in a different time period and with different weapons.

However, I think the CoD4 was a very, very solid title. The multiplayer was scary addictive. Therefore, I don't think they necessarily had to change anything to keep people hooked...

Although GoW is a significant improvement over its predecessor, I don't think they made multiplayer as good as it should/can be.

It's all good skitch. I love to hear other's opinions about different games. GoW2 is an upgrade that's for sure. I'm just really digging COD WAW. Could be because it feels fresh. I do feel that having COD4 is a must. Peace!!!!
