Re: Uncharted 2 (PS3)
I don't think so. The full trailer is supposed to be shown on December 14th and they might have more details in the January magazine article. I don't think it's coming out any time soon though. Maybe for the holiday season next year but the sooner the better!Comment

Fark Farkety Fark Fark! YEAH!
I cant wait till info pours out. And can just imagine the advancements they made to it visually and gameplay wise.
Since the dev was quoted as to saying that they can get way more out of the PS3 than what Uncharted as shown us! That it was only using 30-40% of the PS3's power!

Re: Uncharted 2 (PS3)
Online co-op could work, but as for multiplayer modes, please no. Far to many games would've been better off just sticking to single player only instead of trying to shoehorn in some type of multiplayer component that really doesn't suite the game. Uncharted is one such game in which it simply doesn't suite it and I don't want development resources taken away from the single player that could ultimately end up hurting the quality.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Uncharted 2 (PS3)
Yeah i agree. I was thinking that developers will have to start thinking outside the box when it comes for multi-player for games that aren't standard type FPS.
For a game like Uncharted 2 I was thinking they could do something like have 8 players as the base of a mountain at different starting points and the players could race to the top, first one to the top wins. Of course people could set traps, shoot at each other etc to make it even more interesting. The mountain could be designed to funnel the players towards each other to ensure some conflict / shoot outs between the players etc.
Just trying to think of something a little different.Comment

Re: Uncharted 2 (PS3)
I definitely don't want to sacrifice the single player game for any multiplayer or online options. Uncharted was designed as a single player experience. There were times where the girl was around but she was largely useless. I just don't know you could really turn it into a co-op campaign unless they added some new boards through DLC down the road.Comment

OH INFINITY FARK YEAH!!!
Great game...shows what fun an adventure game can be when they spend good production $$ on real actors who are into their roles....like playing a movie!Former Bison, Argonaut, TSN and Sportsnet employee.

Re: Uncharted 2 (PS3)
Came across some info from the GI cover story.
- There's a new girl named Chloe Frazer. GI asked about Elena and Sully's return but they had no comment.
- The story is about looking for the ships that Marco Polo "lost" while returning home to Italy.
- Melee combat is more dynamic now.
- They mentioned they were using only 30% of the PS3's power with Drake's Fortune and are planning to use nearly 100% with Among Thieves.
- A demo was shown to GI with Drake going through a city (I believe in Nepal), and he's stealthily taking out guards and escaping the city.
- Nolan North returns to be Drake and Chloe Frazer is played by Claudia Black (Stargate SG-1, Fargate).
- The Sixaxis mechanics were ditched for such things as throwing grenades.
- One of the weapons revealed is a rocket launcher that Chloe uses (might only be for the cinematic).
- There are no load screens.
- The score is being composed by Greg Edmonson (same guy from the first one).
- Weapons can be used in any stance (running, behind cover, hanging, climbing a wall, etc.).
- You can now move while aiming behind cover.
- "In Uncharted 2, every character fully interacts with the dynamic geometry moving around them, and environments in the background are real parts of the game world."
- "If Drake's on top of a train, he's going to be shaking with the train as it moves around."
- "As he gets inside, his move set is going to change, and he's going to be a lot more secure because the wind's not blowing."
- The graphics look better than Uncharted 1.
- Button sequence cinematics such as the final boss have changed so now Drake is now fully controllable in these parts.
- Climbing seems improved upon. You can climb lamp posts now among other new things.
- If there is an enemy patrolling a rooftop you're climbing a wall to, you can pull him off the roof while hanging on the wall.
