Fellows I am stuck on Chapter 17 outside the Ice Caves. The Older guy is on the ledge above me and I don't see a way out. I have been stuck here for over an hour. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Thanks in advance

I guess I don't know exactly where that is. Can you clarify more (in spoilers) what things you have accomplished in the chapter thus far to get to where you are?

finished it friday...wish it was longer...i played on hard and it was a good challenge...last boss battle took me 15-20 tries. all in all, i loved it!

Did you have to have played the first one to enjoy the single player in this one? Missed out on the first one....

Nope. I didn't play the first one but I really enjoyed this one.

I'm much slower than most people. This game is taking about the same time for me to finish as the first one (maybe a bit longer). The first game took me over 15 hours to finish on Normal and I'm 87% done and over 13 hours on Normal for the sequel. I'll probably need another 2-3 hours to finish.

I love the game but the first one was still better.

-The ice monster thing is laughable, in terms of the graphics and Drake mo-cap animation
-Way too many cutscenes that break up and spoil the action
-Too many action scenes
-Not enough exploration and puzzles
-Story progresses way to quick in the first half and as such, the characters never develop
-Gunfights are annoying because they have broken the unwritten gaming rule and stupidly decided to spawn enemies all around you and not just in front in your new path ahead.
-Depth of field blur is a bit hit and miss when zooming in to shoot
-Story isn't half as good as the original. Something you'd expect them to use after 3 or 4 sequels.

But still, a great game. I just had to nitpick.

Loved the game and now playing through on hard. The hidden objects are really hard to find this time I can't believe there are 100 of them I only found about 40 and that was with a little extra exploring.

Thanks, that was really my only concern since the game seems to be unanimously loved.

DLC news that I can't read at work. Apparently it's coming before the end of the year and some things will be free.

Prepare for more Uncharted 2 content in the near future. Developer Naughty Dog plans to release DLC for the fascinating PS3 title before 2010 hits.

“We’re working on that now,” Amy Hennig told Industry Gamers in a recent conversation, speaking to downloadable content. “Without going into specifics, it’ll involve new maps, new characters, things like that,” the creative director said.

In an interview earlier this month, designer Justin Richmond revealed that the studio was working on competitive DLC, not cooperative. Richmond used the same general examples -- maps, characters, and modes -- to explain what the studio is shooting for in regards to the expected DLC.

In the more recent interview, Hennig said that some of the DLC might not carry a price tag, while other bits will indeed cost real coin.

"Some of it will be free of charge and some of it will be purchasable. We've got a lot of people on the team working on this stuff, some really cool stuff that people will be excited about. So we're definitely taking it very seriously,” said Hennig.

We’re all about free stuff, especially if it involves ice cream or additional videogame content, so we’ll definitely take DLC at zero charge. It’ll be interesting to see what ends up being free versus what Naughty Dog chooses to charge for as the DLC. We’ll have to check this out again as the details come in.
