I'm on the last boss.
I have to say that I've enjoyed UC2 a lot more than the original. It's been a lot of fun.

But I hate this last boss. It's repetitive and worst of all boring.
I honestly wish I could skip it all together. Nothing fun about it.
But I'll try to complete it tonight to see how the story ends.

For UC3, I hope the developers give us something more entertaining for the finale. I really like the Bourne-esque hand-to-hand combat. A final slugfest with these new controls would have been better in my opinion.

I agree. It was tough, but it wasn't the rewarding kind of difficulty I would have liked. I didn't feel like I was trying to beat him, I felt like I was playing to get the fight over with and not have to keep redoing it. I thought the part after the boss fight was pretty badass though.
On another note, I still haven't hoped online with this yet, and I have no idea why. I was all about the beta before it came out.

I'm on Chapter 25, so I'm right there as well. After I finish up it's time for another runthrough on Crushing to go for that platinum trophy.

And of course, more multiplayer.

Just finished it myself. The ending was awesome...same top quality as the rest of the story. My only issue was

The Boss fight (as others have said, I see) is too repetitive and boring. It was like playing an old Nintendo game where it was hard for the sake of being hard, rather than challenging due to circumstance.

I wish it was a bit more involved than running in circles and pop-shooting resin bulbs. It was more challenging than the first game, but even less interesting...the only point in the game (IMO) that you are playing just to complete rather than playing to enjoy.

Aside from that, it was a great game. From beginning to end I had fun with it and was more invested in the story and characters than the first. I'll likely even play through it again (rare for me) on a hard setting.

I agree with your spoiler comments. This reason was probably why I never got too into non-sports games. I hate failure, and too many games were just that.

I agree with you guys on the boss fight, it just felt way too cheap. I never died once against him surprisingly and somehow survived. I still love Rudy's strategy and hope the next time I start playing through this again that I can do the same thing. LOL!

What was Rudy's strategy? I'm playing on Hard and have died probably a dozen times trying to beat this final part. Had to throw in the towel after a while, it was getting too frustrating.

A local store is having a buy two used games, get two free promotion on Thanksgiving morning from 7 AM to 11 AM, and I'm going in with my brother to buy one used game and receive one free (while he buys one and gets one free).

So far my PS3 collection is at MLB 09: The Show, Madden 10, and Call of Duty 4. So I need to upgrade my library.

An obvious choice of mine would be CODMW2. So if they have that used yet, I'm definitely trying to pick that up. However, I have a feeling they won't, so I was looking at two other PS3 games to get. That's when I thought of this game. I had never actually looked into it so I didn't know exactly what type of game it was, but after checking out some IGN reviews and videos, it looks absolutely sick. Really seems like a great single player game, but it even throws in the online and mulitplayer stuff too.

With that said, I just have one question. Should I pick up the first game in this series first, then play the recently released game? Or would I be able to enjoy Uncharted 2 without having played its predecessor?

I didn't. I finished it this week and enjoyed every minute.

The multiplayer is very addictive! You just need to be patient and work your way to some perks to be competitive.
