Why the heck are there no good RPG's on the PS3?

Sony used to be the system for RPG's Now there is barely any, or at least no true RPG's on the system. Unless I am totally over looking a game or two.

It has been said tool kits for Japanese developers are too expensive to develop for the PS3.

Other reason is MS went nuts with buying up RPGs in Japan.

However, they have a couple good exclusives coming in 09.

While it's not your standard RPG (It's an action RPG), Valkyria Chronicles is a must own IMO. VERY fun!

I thought about picking it up, however I am not a fan of the anime type graphics.

FFXIII / Versus is on the way, as well as White Knight Chronicles... but if u want the RPG's (good or bad) right NOW.. i think you're gonna have to get with the 360 for now... Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Tales of Vasperia, Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean: The Last Hope Spring 09... wow Microsoft... complete 180 from the original xbox lol

White Knight Chronicles is supposed to come out next year, for one. I really don't know much about it though (there may have been a thread a while back).

And yes, Valkyria is a great title in the Strategy RPG genre.

Sonata did make the leap to PS3 in the past month or 2 - I'm finally getting it in the next few days.

Fallout 3? Kinda of a combo FPS / RPG i know but still an awesome title.

But if you mean exclusive RPG's than yeah we got nothing.....

Not much has been shown about the White Knight Chronicles but what has been shown is very impressive.

Their is a great action RPG on the PS3 that is often overlook and thats FolkLore. It is a very good game, you should check it out.

With the pedigree of Level 5, I fully expect White Knight Chornicles to be awesome.
