Yeah, unless I'm in between taking laundrey to the bedroom, I'm usually right there. LOL

She creeps me out when she starts wanting to get codes off animalcrossingcommunity. I have to put my foot down and tell her "no, you just get to bother Kevin and any of my other friends."

Using that site, I've happened across a few younger kids. Once I realize how young they are, I politely say I have to go, I leave their town, and remove them from my friend roster.

          I wish you weren't a liar.
I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.

Normally I don't get into these types of games, but after reading these posts it just sounds addicting and fun. Can someone explain to me exactly what the point is, though. Do you just go from village to village completing tasks?

I haven't used my wii in a while, I've actually had it laying around waiting for me to sell it. Maybe this will get me using it.

This is what I wrote about the game in the previous thread:

It's a different game to a lot of people. Basically you are a character that begins your new life in a city. You have a little shack of a house and a few neighbors. From there you decide what you want to do with your new life. You can fish, catch bugs, hunt for fossils, talk to your neighbors, etc. There is also a city you can ride the bus to that has a few things to do in. The game runs in real time based on your Wii clock and the seasons change as they do in real life.

There are real life holidays in the game like Thanksgiving (aka Harvest Day) and those holidays are celebrated with special once a year events. For example on Thanksgiving there is this turkey character hiding in your town because he's afraid you are going to eat him or something and each time you find him he'll trade you a piece of his exclusive furniture for a set of silverware (so you can't eat him I guess LOL). Christmas has a similar event. Also throughout the year there are special days like sales at the shop in town, fishing and bug catching tournaments, etc.

The way each person plays the game is a little different. My wife plays to get money in which to spend on upgrading her house and buying furniture. I play a slower method and concetrate on making my town look nice and full, I create some clothes, and I like to visit other people's towns over WiFi to fish and stuff. I'm big on catching all the fish and bugs that are available each month and donating them to the town's museum. I like to play the stalk market by buying turnips and traveling to other people's towns to sale them at high rates and make money to donate to my house mortgage or town improvements.

Some people choose to play the game in a faster paced style by "time traveling" into the future (or past) to get to all the special events and collect the special items offered, or to make trees grow faster or restock stores. I prefer to keep my time within 24 hours of real life. I adjust the time occasionally so I can play during morning hours from time to time since otherwise it would always be nighttime in my town when I played during the week. I do enjoy when I travel to another person's town and they are in a different time of the year, it's like traveling around the world LOL.

The style of play is whatever is the most fun. For some people this game gets old after a month, especially when you get all the monetary aspects of the game completed, but some, especially the people that take the game day by day, can enjoy this game for months or even years consistently.

yeah, I strictly stick to that grownup gamers forum over there. I haven't come across any kids other than casey and Skyboxer's. Those kids are alright because I figure you guys are there with them.

Crappy 68 bells per turnip price for me today, maybe tomorrow something better...

Oh, I ran into 5 separate beehives today and now I look like the wife in a Domestic Violence tv ad. I'm lucky I didn't pull a Macaulay Culkin in "My Girl"!

Got a perfect snowman though, thanks for the advice!

Because I have Nookingtons, I couldn't even check turnip prices. It closes at 9:00. I can't wait until I can choose which store I want.

That stinks that you won't have a lot of items if you regress. What are you going back to, all the way back to Nook N Go since it has the latest hours (I think)? Or will Nookway suffice since it has at least a few items to buy each day?

Oh yeah, I got my perfect town rating today. I just gotta keep it up for 15 days then I'll get my golden water can. I wonder if both me and Amanda get one?
