Going with an adept, pretty fun so far and a lot different from my Infiltrator

Question with regards to relationships, since I'm going Renegade, do I still have to say nice things to get them to like me, or can I do the more renegade discussions with crew members and still have them be interested?

I've been a bit of a prick toward Miranda when it's come to her suggestions, taking her down a notch, but wouldn't mind her as an option later...

Finally finished my first playthrough. Took me 35 hours to do it. And nobody died.

Now I'm gonna my 2nd playthrough on insane full blown renegade.

For those that have finished the game already, did you do a lot of planet scanning for elements? Reason I ask is I may do my second playthrough on insanity without doing much planet scanning. Can you still get upgrades and things like that?

I did a lot of scanning but when you start a new game after beating it once you start off with 50,000 of every resource so it's not too bad the second time.

Ah, that's good to know. I like having the ability to scan planets but I wish it weren't so time consuming. When I get games like this, I am so thorough on my first playthrough and try to cover every square inch of the game if I can. Not sure if I can take scanning every planet again like I am doing now.

I had 4 people die after I beat the game! WTF! Everyone was loyal except for Miranda and Zaeed. I banged Jack, after I screwed it up with Miranda. I was paragon though so Im not sure how I pulled it off. Legion was killed after being my Tech. Jack was taken by a storm of bugs. Miranda was killed after we fell when we beat the final boss, and Zaeed died escorting. I wanted one of the girls to live! Gonna miss Jack she was great in battle. Has anyone had 4 people die?

I did but it was intentional.

Just finished the game so can join in on this forum which I was avoiding like the plague since the game was released.

I got everyone loyal and did their loyalty missions. Some very interesting ones though and I am glad I took the time to do them. The costumes and bonus powers are worth it. I remember in ME 1 always just taking Garrus and Wrex no matter what but I had a few times where I actually had to think about who I wanted with me and had to make some tough decisions.

I realized when I entered into the Omega 4 relay (after nailing Miranda in the engine room!) that I didn't have a lot of ship upgrades and when I started getting blasted I was worried I was going to lose a team member and sure enough I lost Tali who is freaking awesome, that was a sad moment.

Anyways, if I start a new game with a new character will I get any bonuses for beating the game? The Shepard I just completed the game with was from my ME1 save and I maxed out Renegade. If I play through again I would do it as a good guy.

Sure do. 50,000 of each element,25% more EXP and you get to choose your extra ability from the start.

Just finished the game after logging in 41 hours. I lost Thane and Zaheed in the last mission...pretty upsetting. Zaheed was the only member in my group who I didn't gain loyalty from, so I'll change that on my next play through. There are 2 or 3 very small side quests taht I haven't completed, so I'll probably do those and then start over. Are you guys using the same character or are you mixing it up on your second playthrough? I did a paragon vanguard (level 26). Probably going to do a renegade female soldier on the next playthrough.

I gotta say it's too easy for me on Veteran. I'm going Insane on the next one.

Is it possible to get to Level 30 in one Insanity playthrough? If not, i doubt i'll try that until my 3rd run. I agree that Veteran is pretty easy, esp if you have import bonuses.
