I like soldier because I bet it's the class that gets those neat new weapons and you cannot kill it.

I put on immunity and I cannot die. I can take out armantures.

Besides, all the other classes are covered. The only soldier is Ashley and she is racist and poor for ship morale.

Was going to say that's a minor thing I overlook before I tap the booty. After that, I pick the alien the next time. I wonder if they'll have my baby in ME2. That would be cool.

My guy is a soldier/shock trooper with electronics as a bonus. Pretty much impossible to kill. I really like the soldier because it's not skill point intensive, so I don't feel like I'm weakening my combat ability by maxing out charm or intimidate. I also like it for character reasons, but that's very subjective. It's also a fun class to play because you spend most of your time actually in combat, as opposed to being in a menu selecting attacks. And since I'm near invulnerable, I don't really have to micro-manage my squadmates, either. I think I'm really gonna like it even more once I get my hands on all the new weapons in Mass Effect 2.

Speaking of the sequel, the main site got upgraded today with some new stuff. A brief FAQ, a feature list that mentions having up to a dozen potential party members, and some info about some missions and a new alien race.

I've got some minor spoiler/speculation stuff, so I'll toss it all in a spoiler box, but it's nothing real serious, nothing more than what you'd get from visiting the updated site. But better safe than sorry, I suppose.

One thing on the site mentioned going to the krogan's home planet to free a salarian scientist, presumably the party member mentioned in the OXM article.

I think along the same lines, the site mentioned a mission to go into a prison that was notably housing a biotic who might be unstable. Maybe that's a mission to get Jacob, the guy from the iPhone game? Maybe the iPhone game will tell how he got there. Also a chance it might be Kaidan, I suppose. Maybe his headaches have worsened significantly.

There's a lot of talk about people thinking Shepard's dead. There's also talk about human colonies disappearing. Seems like the Collectors from the Ascension novel will be involved, and I wonder if Shepard's suicide mission is to get collected and go where no one's come back from, hence why people think he's dead. I think that'd be very interesting.

I don't think Shepard is dead or will ever be dead until maybe the final installment. But that trailer was from the point of view of Cerebus. THEY think you are dead.

Maybe the salarian scientist is going to be used to clone Wrex if he is dead? You have his families armor which maybe has his DNA on it. YOU know you can clone Krogan because Saren did it and maybe you even seized some of the files from Noveria/ Binary Helix.

Or maybe Dr. Heart errr Dr. Saleon that you shot on the vessel was just a clone and Garrus wants to shoot the real one!!

i became that way over the game too to some extent because of the ...what's it called, it's been a while...the council?

In a videogame like this, when I feel mistreated I always react strongly...like in fallout if someone rubs me the wrong way, i'll just blow their head off lol.

Mass effect 2's graphics have a big noticeable improvement from the footage shown. I really looks fantastic - I thought of FNR4 actually the way the models look so 3D.

Well she even once says that it's not racism if they're not human. The way she talks with Tali in the elevator also makes it seem like she's not as racist as she may appear. The game also gave a lot of the back story to why she and many other people in the game have a general distrust of another species.
