Just got this game and love it so far. About five hours in and don't want to stop playing it. Great game so far. After I beat the game what DLC would you guys recommend?

All of them but you should download the Zaeed and Kasumi missions and recruit them before you get too far since they are pretty useful squadmates. You can do Lair of the Shadow Broker after you're done with the game but it doesn't really matter when you do it(you just won't be able to unlock the mission until you get to Illium).

PS3 Mass Effect 2 gets interactive comic

The PlayStation 3 version of science fiction role-playing game Mass Effect 2 will include an interactive comic designed to introduce newcomers to the series.

"While I can't release all the details about this yet, what I can tell you is that we want to create a stunning visual experience that not only tells the core story elements of Mass Effect 1, but also is fully interactive allowing you to be faced with some of the major choices which will have consequences your [sic] Mass Effect universe," producer Jesse Houston confirmed on BioWare's forum.

The game will also include previously released downloadable content: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory and the Blood Dragon Armour.

Via the Cerberus Network you'll be able to grab The Zaeed and Firewalker content, also previously available, and exclusive free and premium DLC, including the Recon Operations Pack and the Aegis Pack.

Mass Effect 2 for PlayStation 3 will be out in January.

Bump.


Started a walk-through without a ME1 load and finished up the Loyatly mission, save Legion. So before jumping to the IFF mission, I decided to knock out the firewalker missions.

A) Where are the last two "load points" on the ice planet? I've tried it about 5 times and could only find 8 before freezing over.

B) On the escape from the volcano, is it better to hop from cliff to cliff or boost off of one? I know you have to do both, but I went through it twice before I decided to go to bed and both times I either fell short or overshot the one that leads to the (I think it's the last) tunnel.

What Pete said, but I would play the first one since it is so well worth it. I still haven't played ME2 since I'm just waiting for the PS3 version.

Not really. The in game history will explain pretty much everything you need to, but you might be a bit confused with some of the details. There are advantages to playing 1 though, not the least of which is that it's a great game. When you play ME 1 you will have several little decisions you make throughout the game that will make an appearance in ME 2. You also get to import certain things from your character.

I just re-installed both games on my computer last week after having to wipe my hard drive a few months ago. I got all of the DLC and I'm enjoying playing through the game again. Just wish I could build up renegade points faster.

Has there been any word if the third Mass Effect will be immediately available on the PS3 when it is released, or will it be a timed exclusive for the 360?

I think I'm getting a 360 for Christmas, Mass Effect is going to be one of the first games I get. I've always wanted to play it.

I was thinking of double-dipping, but same day as LBP2 and MvC3 coming just weeks later, I probably won't now. Hopefully it turns out to be a good port technically for those that do pick it up.
