Re: Mass Effect 2
How is the game play compared to the ps3 and 360 version? Are they the same pretty much and the graphics are just better on the ps3?I was thinking about picking this up.I never really got o finish this on the 360.What a really long intensive but fun game.Comment

Well it's really your choice. I seen it on ps3 and it really don't look a whole lot better than the 360 however there are noticable texture differences in certain environments. If you played already played for 360 and still have it then I would suggest 360.

Re: Mass Effect 2
What does it mean to scan planets for N7 missions? I've scanned a few unexplored planets and it looks like all I got was money or something.
I also notice there is like 2 or 3 different currencies. How do those work? I've noticed I'll have 50,000 of something to purchase an item or upgrade and then when I look to buy something else it'll say I only 2,500 of some other credit.

Re: Mass Effect 2
There are 3 different type of materials and you mine those when you are scanning the planets.
On some planets you will find an anomaly and you can then land on those planets and explore it. You will notice it and you scan until you find a white circle. The line in the scanning circle points to where it is located on the planet.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
And that is what is used to purchase items/upgrades? So I imagine that for each type of upgrade they all require a different mineral?
I heard about there being a shuttle on the Normandy. Do I need that in order to land on those planets? Or can you land on them with the big "mothership".
I swear I read the instruction manual
but it was quite vague on some these things.

Yes you are correct.

NO, you can just land. I think its X but it will tell you on the screen which to hit.
Hope this helps.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Hint: When you see the scene with the actual shuttle get your butt in gear.
You have it already. It's the load screen usually.

Each one does different things better, bit strange as these things are at least normally consistant.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Was there a patch that went out for the PS3 on this? I've heard there were some file corruption issues and freezing but I haven't experinced any and I don't remember DL'ing an update.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Mass Effect 2
Just wondering if you guys recruit everyone before you do some of the side missions? I had to restart when my system died. Thanks in advance fellows. The poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I use infiltrator but I've only been playing for a little bit and I don't really know the differences of even if there are any to the other classes. It feels like no matter what the game would play the same way. But like i said I'm new to it so I don't really know.
I've been mixing up side missions while I'm recruiting. When I got garrus I did all the little side quests available in Omega. Then after I got him I went back to completed one more.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Sounds like the better deal is the 360 then, assuming there are no existing gameplay issues with the 360 that went unfixed that the PS3 doesn't have. I definitely want to continue what I've started in the first one if that's possible. Thanks!
