I did the Shadow Broker Mission after I met Liara in ME2, I was messing around that planet for awhile then took it on before I moved onto other things. It worked well within the plot.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Shadow Broker like most was the best DLC for me as well. Arrival had a lot to live up to with the Broker and didn't.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Tell me about it.
SpoilerThat lady in Arrival was just plain annoying. Wish Shep could've bitch-slapped her indoctrinated face.
Still, the DLC explains why Shep is in detention at the start of ME3. Wish it was cheaper though.Comment

I'm about done with my run through on ps3 for ME2. I've put in almost 40 hours and still have some side missions to do. I've also restarted ME1 on the PC. I still miss a few aspects from the first game. Hoping to start the Arrival this weekend and then on to ME3.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I really like ME2 a lot better than ME. I like the weapon, powers, and upgrades systems much more. ME was too tedious for me with all the weapon and weapon add-on pickups. Do I never have to drive that Mako on ME2? I have not missed that one bit, I hated that thing in ME lol. Is ME3 designed more like ME2 or ME?

Re: Mass Effect 2
I'm at around 25 hours or so, not sure how far I have left. I still have one Dossier and I've done 5 team member's loyalty missions. The last main mission I did was when I had to bust out of the Collector ship.

Re: Mass Effect 2
It's a mix. They added back weapon upgrade levels(I, II, III.....up to X) and mods(2 mods per gun), but I wouldn't call it tedious(but I'm a big RPG player, so that kind of stuff doesn't bother me). no mako(yet at least). The actual combat feels more like ME2 with the powers and shooting, however there are no weapon restriction for the classes(every class can use any gun). there is a weight system that will slow your power recharge time if you carry more than your class can carry however, so for example, an Adept carrying 5 weapons would have a really slow recharge time.

Re: Mass Effect 2
So I am replaying Mass Effect 2 and making different decisions than I did in my first time around.
For example:
In the prologue, I shot Wrex and saved Kaiden instead of Ashley.
I am actually anticipating Wrex's loyalty mission, so that I can see the difference without Wrex.Comment

I think I enjoyed the main storyline more in ME1, but enjoyed the squad interactions much more in ME2.

Re: Mass Effect 2
ME2's scale, production, and overall gameplay is definitley cleaner and more fluid than ME1. I just didn't like how simple they made some aspects of the gameplay compared to ME1. "Upgrading" weapons was kind of confusing because I couldn't tell what kind of effects the different weapons had in relation to the others.
I think I enjoyed the main storyline more in ME1, but enjoyed the squad interactions much more in ME2.
I prefer the storyline of ME over ME2, boy do I hate the Illusive Man and Cerebus. Like Fresh says, production values and squad interaction is quite fantastic in ME2. While I preferred ME storyline, I still feel like ME2 is quite fantastic.
The last mission I just finished last night before going to bed was
Spoilergetting Joker through the Normandy so he does get killed by the Reapers and configuring EDI to get the hell away from their ship.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Ok, thanks. I guess the main thing that bothered me was item pickups. I don't like having to empty my pockets all the time. So I'm happy with ME2 because you just scan items you find along the missions, and there is none of that omni-gel conversion stuff to empty your pockets as you go along the game.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I just finished ME2 tonight and boy was this an awesome ride. I will say that this has become one of my favorite franchises this generation. Depending on how ME3 goes, might just end up being on top of my list.
Spoiler
In the suicide mission, I lost quite a few people....primarily Garrus, Jack, and Mordon didn't make it. I was hoping that damn Zaeed would have bit the bullet, didn't like him at all. How do you make sure that everyone survives?Comment

I finished today too! It was so awesome, top 5 game of all time definitely. I am a bit of a completionist so I had everything done in order to leave no man behind on the suicide mission. Didn't know that was the reason I was doing all the upgrades or loyalty missions, that's cool they had a real effect.
