Re: Mass Effect 2
I've recently started Mass Effect 2 after going through the first one. It is really a fantastic game, I already imagine my frustration when I finish them all. Mass Effect is now my all-time favorite game and I thank Bioware for this amazing creation.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Finished Mass Effect 2 and all DLC after 350 saves and 50 hours yesterday. Definitely a good game and FAR better than the first. I'd only rate the first a 6 to 7 out of 10, but ME2 is easily an 8 to 9 out of 10. Ordered ME3 and should have it here in a couple of days. Looking forward to finishing out the trilogy and putting a stop to the harbringers!Comment

Be sure to get Leviathan, From Ashes, and Citadel DLCS. Omega is meh but it does have good weapon mods so consider it.Finished Mass Effect 2 and all DLC after 350 saves and 50 hours yesterday. Re: Mass Effect 2
I thought all three games were solid with 2 being the front runner and I'm glad someone else goes save crazy like me, after Playing Morrowind I feel like I save every couple minutes.Finished Mass Effect 2 and all DLC after 350 saves and 50 hours yesterday. Re: Mass Effect 2
I bought all the DLCs that were available on the XBox360. Honestly don't remember the names. One added the Shadowbroker quests with Liara and another I think was the Overlord quests. Are the ones you listed for ME3?
Definitely. Glad I saved too as I was able to easily replay the last part so everyone survived the Suicide Mission. Lost Grunt first time through, and then Moridin the second time through. Fixed by sending Moridin along with the rescues to the ship and bringing Jack to keep the swarm at bay (and even brought along a second Biotic to be safe).Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Yeah, those are ME3 DLCs I was talking about. As far as ME2 goes, they were all good (Kasumi, Overlord, Zaeed, Arrival, and Shadowbroker is my personal ranking order) except for the ones where you drove that hovercraft. Those sucked.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Thanks for listing for me. Realize I didn't play Kasumi. For some reason none of the DLC I got for free & downloaded with Cerebus code worked. Had to download it all again a second time via XBox. Didn't realize I failed to get Kasumi. Downloading now!Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Bonus! It's like found money.
I agree ME2 was the best one of the series. At least it was my personal favorite. ME3 didn't add enough IMO, and ME1 seemed like they were still trying to work out what the game was going to be. With the exception of the stupid planet resource scanning, everything about ME2 was improved.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
The only thing I think they took a step backwards for in ME2 is character skills. Narrowing everything down to about 4 categories for your Shepard really made it feel like I wasn't able to customize as much as I could in ME1. Also as tedious as the inventory system was in ME1, I loved the options. ME2 I felt like was the best story of the series, but least RPG like of the trilogy.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
NCAAF: Ohio State
NFL: Minnesota Vikings
MLB: Chicago CubsComment

Re: Mass Effect 2
LOL. I hated scanning those planets!! Not as much as I hated cracking safes. I mean the universe is going to pot, you are in a life or death struggle but you stop to break into every safe you see? I honestly hate looting in almost all games so maybe I'm biased.Bonus! It's like found money.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Agree; ME2 is essentially an action/adventure 3rd-person shooter w/ RPG elements. Which is fine by me, but you're totally correct in saying it seemed the least like an RPG. Also, I forgot to give credit to ME3 for allowing you to customize your character a bit more, in the sense that you could have a character that doesn't normally use a sniper rifle use one, etc. It always bothered me that ME1 just wouldn't let you use a gun/class combo that you wanted to. And I have to say the multiplayer in ME3 was so much better than I ever would have thought...The only thing I think they took a step backwards for in ME2 is character skills. I forgot about safecracking...that was also painful. Why is it so hard to come up with a minigame for these things that is somewhat fun?LOL. I hated scanning those planets!! Re: Mass Effect 2
No way I'll be playing the ME3 DLC. It's $15 for 2x of the DLC packs, and then $10 for another, for a grand total of $40. That's just crazy. I only payed $11 for ME3. Very disappointed with Bioware for these prices (though totally not surprised since it's an EA company now). There doesn't seem to be a season pass option available either. I'd gladly pay $20 for all 3 or even $25, but not $40. That's almost the price of a new game, or one that's on sale at least.
I paid $20 for DLC for ME2. Would have been far better off to buy the ME cumulative release that had all 3 games + DLC in it. It's pricing structures like this that really turn me off to games, and gaming companies. Boo to both Bioware and EA.
