On another note did we ever meet Hackett in ME 1? Wonder if he'll be in ME 2 if we didn't.

Re: Mass Effect 2
I don't know what you've been reading but there has been plenty out there that wasn't known. Most previews covered the first two hours of the game, none of that information was released beforehand.Wasn't really anything there that wasn't already known. Other than the infiltrator abilities. I decided to make my 2nd character expendable just to see what it leads to in ME 3,already an infiltrator there so I won't have to change my main if those abilities do what I think they do.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Is 90 minutes 2 hours where you live? It's only 1 hour and 30 minutes here.
This one does mention a bit more at least...
So ok there's the 2 hours.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Nevermind dude,just nevermind.

That male voice sounds pretty bad in the new IGN vid. Ah well don't have to deal with it.
Is that Conrad at 2:12?
Second in command Batarian from the DLC at 3:12?
Just thought I'd mention from ME 1 about Tali I found out in my 4th play through with the expendable Sheppard...
Spoilerher father can override the council so that earlier trailer where she gets kicked out there's a good chance that doesn't stick.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
The third link (videogamers.com) mentions it's the first two hours of the game...that's where you'd get two hours from.
Interesting stuff. I'm currently getting set to run back through with my first Paragon charactersince I never went through the second playthrough with him. He was a Vanguard, though from what I understand it won't matter too much in terms of how you choose fro ME2.Spoilerwho did save the council as I recall
Can't wait!Comment

Part of the opening + character creation: http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=1589&pk=13257 but it's in ze German. Character stuff starts at 2:20 but doesn't last very long.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
In Mass Effect 1? I guess the only way to do that would be to beat the game as a Sentinel or Engineer and then add that as your extra ability for a new character. It isn't one of the options for infiltrators. My infiltrator was my second character (after a vanguard) and i gave him warp (and instantly regretted it).
So I guess my last question for ME2 is, can you change how Shepard looks when you import your save? I thought they said many times that this was the case but one of the previews said it wasn't. I'm thinking they misheard.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Can you explain the bonuses? I am trying to stay away from these interviews because of the major spoilers. I didn't want to know what happened but scanning through them kind of spoiled the whole Sheppard thing.
I enjoyed Dragon Age so much because I was staying away from these previews.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
The interview was actually pretty cagey about the bonuses, take a look:
I'd say anyone who completed the game on Insanity and played through 3 playthroughs is hardcore so while i didn't play twice with the same character I think i would deserve the type of reward you get from importing a level 60 guy.VideoGamer.com: Have you decided how the game will acknowledge players who reached the level cap in Mass Effect 1?
AC: I asked my lead designer before I left, I was like, I want to make sure I know exactly what… because I was like, ah I'm going to get ambushed! I'm an artist, right, so I was like, I'm going to get a whole bunch of designer/writer questions [laughs]. She said, if you max out at 60, which is the highest level, you will have, paraphrasing my lead game system designer, Christina Norman, you will have a distinct advantage over those who don't import their characters, or if you start afresh. She described this mapping process. Me as an artist didn't understand. I said, well, is it going to have an impact? She said, yes. It'll have a big impact on hardcore players. They'll notice the advantage we give them. Which is, of course, great. It's a good service. It's not a disservice. We want to reward those who played the first game, who went through 60 hours, 80 hours to level up their character. They're going to notice there's a little bonus for them.
Speaking of bonuses, the interview also said that the preorder stuff is going to trickle out to DLC, and mentioned potentially free DLC.
Videogamer.com - Interview with Producer Adrien Cho
Gamespot had a video interview with Adrien Cho, and that answered my question about importing, you still get to choose your looks if you want to change.
