I'll have to check that out. I haven't even been to the Sol system yet in ME2.

Buying fuel for the Normandy? Really? Who thought this was a good idea. I know it sounds crazy but i like the way the crash site was done for the Normandy. It was an awesome ship. I'm enjoying the mini games more in ME 2 then 1. I prefere reloading to the over heating of the weapons.

It is epic, so much more if you played ME1. Honestly I would say to people if you didn't and/or beat the first one I would stay away from this... its just way more personal and a better experience.

I'm currently plodding my way through ME1. I had gotten pretty far 2 years ago then screwed up my save file. I picked up ME2 yesterday...still in shrinkwrap. Stayed up past 2am playing ME1 last nite. Just doing the main story so I can get into ME2.

Got about an hour and a half in, looks like another Bioware masterpiece. Not sure if I will continue until I can get my ME1 character in and start anew. From what I read online, I can finish the last battle/save again and it should then allow me to import the character.

I don't get it, if you don't get Xp for killing things then how do you get XP? Do you still level up and all that?

Yes you still level up. You get experience for dialog stuff and hacking.

I think I'm going to have to go back through ME1 again. I played for about 2 1/2 hours last night of ME2, and the whole time just kept thinking this doesn't feel right without importing a character. I have a save from ME1 where my character is level 29 and I'm a little bit into Noveria, so maybe I'll just go through and do the main story missions, and a few sidequests here or there. Hopefully I'll be able to speed through it. Bah.

I haven't seen any of those missions. I haven't paid too much attention to what you get experience for but at the end of each mission there's a list of stuff you can look at to see what you earned.

It has been soooo long since I played ME with my custom character, but when it was imported I was taken back...just awesome when you've all ready got that time invested in a character.

I'm about 8 hours into ME2 without using a character from the first (due to a dead 360). I was on virmire on my speed playthrough (almost no side quests), and I am considering going back and beating the first one and importing. The original story did not fit mine at all, and certain people were all pissed at me for it. I am so far in and am wary of starting over, but I'm tired of hearing about how I screwed over the council, when I didn't in any of my playthroughs. I did think the game could have at least had something similar to KOTOR 2 where it asked you what you did and based the story off of that.

Does anyone know what plot points / decisions carry over to the second one? Is there like a list out there?
