Re: Mass Effect 2
I'm broke...but I could offer up RE5 and MW2 to the altar of Gamestop combined with an extra $10 from a trade-in offer, 10% edge card, and $15 and change I have in store credit.
This would severely cripple my game collection, but hell...I'll have ME2. It calls to me.
...and now I see that RE5's trade-in value has been killed.Last edited by Cyros; 01-26-2010, 01:19 PM.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
This game sounds great. Maybe one of those games that is talked about for many many years.
That TeamXBOX review really stoked me. To bad I'm gone for work till this weekend. Can't wait to get it though, looks epic.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
It is epic, so much more if you played ME1. Honestly I would say to people if you didn't and/or beat the first one I would stay away from this... its just way more personal and a better experience.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions

Re: Mass Effect 2
Gametrailers = 9.7. If you haven't watched anything, there is potential spoilers in it.
Also, I just watched all the class walkthroughs, and this decision is going to be tough....I did the solider class in ME1 and figured that is what I would go with, then I saw the sentinel and vanguard and that made it tough. Then I watched the engineer one and at first didn't think I would want that one, but some of it's stuff is really cool.
Decisions decisions...what is everyone going to pick, or has picked?Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I did a Sniper in the first one. It was fun but I remember beating it in like 18 hours, missed alot of stuff I guess.
I think Im going to stick with the same type of class, but I need to make sure thats what I want to do. I never play these type of games twice for some reason.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

They're the only class that can use assault rifles and they also get some cool looking bonuses to their ammo/gun use that can function like biotics (so they don't completely miss out on that fun like they did in ME1). Plus, with the reworked FPS mechanisms, it will make it more rewarding in that aspect.
I'm not saying it's hands-down better than the other classes (it's all preference, of course...I actually think I prefer the Vanguard or Infiltrator personally), but if that's your cup of tea, it's a MUCH better class than it was in ME1.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Crap I almost wanna start ME1 again before getting this just so I can get the most out of it. Forgot many of the main plot points since it's been such a long time since I beat it. Super excited to try this game though -- might be the only brand new game I buy this year (plan to find Bioshock 2 used)...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
This cracks me up about these grave robbers............and yes, this is what Gamestop is.

This game was $14.99 pre-owned and they jacked up the price to $22.99. I called Gamecrazy and they still have it for $14.99. While Best Buy has it new for $19.99, but sold out pretty much everywhere in my area.
Best Buy had a ton of the CE for those that are looking for it.Comment
