Re: Mass Effect 2
I don't suppose you did anything different when doing this? I copied my data over to a memory card and moved it over from my old 20 GB to my Elite some time ago. It won't read my saves, won't even read them off of my memory card which still has my data. Guess it's time to start over.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Why? You know you have to pay $15 for the Network if you buy it used right?
There's some old acquaintences in Afterlife if you transfered over and did shoot them in the head...
SpoilerFist & Helena. They don't seem to actually do anything though. No quests or bonuses just cool that they're there.
And as for the Why? ME2 doesn't scream "Play right now" to me. I'll pick it up later for 1/2 the price....Last edited by Skyboxer; 01-26-2010, 11:17 PM.Joshua:

yes Used sticker price will be 54.99. That doesn't mean I have to buy it then and without discounts. Need to wait until the right moment to purchase the used games or yeah what's the point.Joshua:

Re: Mass Effect 2
I have to say, I was skeptical about this game. I never played Mass Effect 1, and I really didn't like Dragon Age so I wasn't sure about this game despite the rave reviews. I just thought this would be Dragon Age in a sci-fi setting. Because of my uncertainty I rented the game. I just got done playing for nearly 5 hours and I would probably play for 5 more if I didn't have to work in the morning. I really love this game and I will definitely be buying it.
I can't put my finger on exactly what turned me off to Dragon Age compared to this game. Maybe it was the fact that it felt really clunky to control and navigate the menus on DA on 360. It seemed like a PC game ported to the console..which it really is. I also didn't like having to micromanage during combat so much.
Mass Effect 2 has neither of these problems. The controls and various menus in the game are easy to navigate. And the combat is really fun. You definitely have control over your squad mates but it just doesn't feel like you have to manage every little thing they do. Once your character and your squad starts upgrading skills you can really do some neat things. I had one great moment where I had one of my guys levitate an enemy into the air and as he was up there I sniped him and he went flying across the room. Cool stuff.
I do have one complaint. Can these RPG developers come up with something other than the whole idea that choosing more noble actions makes you really good looking and choosing more controversial actions turns you into a scarred and evil looking thing? Enough already with that whole gimmick.Comment

Yes, and fun! Sniping in ME1 was so/so. Didn't really get that feel of sniping someone successfully but here it is so much better.Comment

It's hilarious that you can get drunk and the effect is almost just like GTA 4Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Amazing game, loved the first. Currently using my Renegade Vanguard.. not sure if I like Vanguards as much as I did last game. Looking forward to trying out my Infiltrator.

This game is awesome. Just more ME but better. Love that there are some top notch games that tell a great story. Plus, voice acting is amazing. Yvonne Strahovski (Sarah from Chuck), Martin Sheen...just greatNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Gamesradar review, looks like there's some minor spoilers: http://www.gamesradar.com/xbox360/ma...22015324633054
Is it better than...?
Borderlands? Yes.
Mass Effect 2's story, characters and locations are much richer than those found on Pandora. We prefer the depth and variety of Mass Effect 2.
Dragon Age: Origins? Yes.
Mass Effect 2 has a better combat system, better voice acting, better dialog, better animation, better graphics... After playing Mass Effect 2, it's disconcerting to have your character remain silent during conversations. BioWare, you've outdone yourself again.
Fallout 3? Yes.
What gives Mass Effect 2 the edge is the feeling of camaraderie you develop with your squad over the course of the game. The personal quests and romantic possibilities add a layer of depth that's missing from Fallout 3. Little touches like dynamic camera angles also make Mass Effect 2's dialog come more alive than Fallout 3's.
Mass Effect 2 strikes a perfect balance between intense shooter action and gut-wrenching drama, set in a richly textured world on the brink of destruction. It's a must-own for science fiction fans, who will love exploring the depths of the galaxy and fighting to save humanity.

You'll love
* Finely crafted story, characters and dialog
* Ramped up action with better controls
* Continuing your story with an imported character
You'll hate
* The mining minigame is a pile of ***
* Helmet-head intrudes on key scenes
* Armor and equipment management is too refinedComment
