    I Am Alive (By Ubisoft)

    I Am Alive

I'm a fan just because it's in Chicago. We'll see how this one pans out.

    About This Game
When Chicago is left in ruins and the cause of the devastation is unknown, players will be challenged to think, react and take risks that will directly affect themselves and those around them. This edgy survival-adventure game is being produced by the company behind such blockbuster titles as Assassin's Creed.

    It's alive:

I Am Alive re-announced by Ubisoft

As revealed by a new gameplay trailer, below, I Am Alive is now a downloadable PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade game due out this winter. It was originally intended as a full, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 retail release.
"I Am Alive follows an everyman's journey to find his wife and daughter, who were lost during the Event," the official blurb reads.

"A year later, he finds Haventon, his hometown, in shambles. Buildings are destroyed, toxic ash fills the streets, and society has been torn, causing inhabitants to take all necessary actions to survive."

Players will be "challenged by both their environment and their enemies", Ubisoft said. "Stamina and resource management are key when being exposed to deadly atmospheres and scaling enormous buildings in search of supplies. The unique combat system requires players to utilize intimidation: cowards are easily swayed with an empty gun, while other enemies will put players to the test."

"We know people have been waiting for this game to arrive, and we believe it's going to be worth the wait," said Adam Novickas, director of marketing at Ubisoft.

"I Am Alive presents a unique take on the post-apocalyptic, survival genre by creating more complex and emotional situations for the player. Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network are the perfect platforms to leverage the mature and challenging experiences of the game."

I forgot all about this. Very interesting they are going to release it as an Arcade title. Does that mean this will be a watered down version of what was originally intended?

I hope not, or maybe they just never truly touched on it.

I was always interested in this, especially when it was announced originally around Cloverfield. Both are not related, but some screens had that "feel".

Sigh being announced as a straight network title dropped my interest in this greatly.
