    Is now possibly...

    Driver: Wheelman (Ubisoft)

"Wheelman, the open world Vin Diesel racer, may be the first title to be properly reorganized under Midway's chapter 11 bankruptcy, as Kotaku has heard that the game has found a new home at Ubisoft.

We'd learned from a source last week that the game was planned to change publishers, with an announcement from Ubisoft expected shortly. Just recently, we'd been told by other sources at retail that outstanding orders for the game had been put on hold, with expectations that Wheelman would be re-solicited, delayed, and reappear as a Ubisoft game.

Whether Wheelman would be re-branded as part of the Driver series, the rights of which Ubisoft purchased from publisher Atari in 2006 is unknown."

Demo is out and played it last night and I was not impressed at all. You can just hold R2 and do nothing else and you'll pass the level.

Other than that, lackluster graphics and game play equals a bad demo.

Yeah, it was pretty weak... and Vin Diesel is a comically-bad voice actor. The old "Driver" games were sweet though... I wish they'd come up with a good revision of that brand where you can just have crazy Steve McQueen car chases the whole time.

Yep, I enjoyed the ones on PC back in the 90s.

Also the story seems pretty bad. Also why is the girl giving you directions all the time. I understand that the developers are giving you a direct route but as the wheelman, you should make your own route to loose the cops unless you have a specified location to get to before hand. That kind of annoyed me among other things. Oh well.

This is a prequel to the movie coming out later on. I actually liked the demo.

I enjoyed it too. Also, I assumed the reasoning for the woman giving out directions was because you were trying to get somewhere and the fact Milo (Vin's character) was new to the city.

Played through the demo...thought it was weak. Hoping for a Driver-like feel but just really underwhelmed.

Almost no plot, lots of explosions and way over the top action so basically it's just like one of his movies. Fun stuff.

Played the demo, felt like The Getaway only set up in Spain instead of London, didn't play as well or seem to have as good a story.
