Most Exciting Multiplayer--besides COD

Hey all. I am looking to rent a new game this weekend and I want to play an awesome multiplayer game. I have cod:waw and love it. I have both a ps3 and 360 so any game works. I dont really know much about any other MP games so I would love the advice. Thanks guys!

On the PS3 side, if you can find Socom:Confrontation for rent anywhere, I'd suggest that. It has a bit of lag here or there at times, but is a fun multiplayer experience.

On the 360 side, you could try Gears of War 2 or Halo 3 for starters.

i thought the halo 3 thing was dead.....i dont know anyone that talks about it, owns it. How about mercernaries 2 which is always checked out?

Nah, Halo 3 is nowhere near to being dead. Alot of people still playing it. I still have mine and am planning on playing it again real soon.

As for Mercenaries 2, I dont know much about the multiplayer side of it. I had the game for awhile and just couldn't find any love for it.

Ahh yes, forgot about this one. I have it but have not played mulitplayer yet. I hear the coop mode online is insane fun!!!

COD sucks online... Just finished the single player it left me wondering why there are some many great place's in the game they could have used but the settle with those maps.

I want a Socom type game for Xbox 360. COD 4 has to much run and gun.

Left 4 Dead is probably the best all-around multiplayer experience i've had this year.

My top 5 as of today...

#1 Warhawk: Easy pick for me. This game is an absolute blast to play online. Maps are large, so many vehicles to choose from, weapons, etc. There is just so much to do. I just started playing it again, and I can't get enough.

#2 Rainbow Six Vegas 2: I really like the pace of this game.

#3 Resistance 2: Lots of action, great all around shooter.

#4 Far Cry 2: Very similar to RSV2, but with an outdoor feel.

#5 Battlefield Bad Company: Great fun and undeniable style.

I was just checking out Far Cry 2. Is the online multiplayer pretty good? Lot's of people? I am going to make all the good Socom2 maps when I get it.

Sujo,Enowapi, Fox hunt, fish hook will be back. I noticed someone on youtube made a hell of a good Desert Glory.
