In the weeks following the fateful Activision Blizzard merger, a great deal of concern arose from the gaming community as a number of anticipated titles effectively lost their publisher. However, while most fretting was focused on Ghostbusters and Brütal Legend, the suddenly jeopardized low-brow antics of Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust went undiscussed, and largely uneulogized.

I played the Larry Series on the Amiga without a hard drive or 2nd floppy. The 1st three games were no big deal but I think Larry 5 had 10 3.5" discs and swapping those were unbareable. Good to see Al Lowes game made it to next gen.Comment

Let's review some of the words used in this article: hateful, toss, stupid, tedious, terrible, dreadful, pathetic. That about sums it up, but just to be clear: do not buy this game. You will not only want your money back, you will want reimbursement for the electricity consumed by your Xbox 360 in the six minutes it took to realise you had made a horrible mistake. It's impossible to understand why Codemasters plucked this from the rubble of the Vivendi-Activision merger, like a shellshocked Blitz victim retrieving the dead cat instead of the family jewels.
At least they're only asking GBP 19.99 for it, but that's GBP 19.99 more than Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust is worth. It's not funny, it's not fun to play and it's less erotic than psoriasis. As the Smurfs would say: **** off, Larry.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Yeah....I had created a couple threads about this kinda thing. I thought MCL was okay at most but BOB looks....well terrible. They've really killed the Larry franchise. I intend to at least rent the game and see how they killed it. I might be crying while playing though.

Did anyone actually enjoy this game? I tried to like it as Ive really enjoyed the past games but it was terrible on every level. When you take a game and make it all about running errands and trying to find stupid awards that are sprinkled throughout the game while having one of the worst cameras I think Ive ever seen, its a complete recipe for disaster. What was the last LSL game called? I remember playing it and you were basically Larry trying to get laid mixed in with a bunch of mini games and yet this one is as far away from that premises as humanly possible. I figured it would be an easy 30 trophies at the very least but this game is so bad I cant even sit through it long enough to get those trophies even, just a miserable experience.Comment

Man it was terrible, lol. Thankfully Im only renting it from Gamefly but its going back today, its just one of the worst games Ive ever played. Your first "mission" is to clean graffiti off of some walls, sounds awesome doesnt it? Your second mission is to find 15 pages for a script that you caused to fly away thanks to turning on a large fan, having fun yet? Third mission is to deliver some mail, and thats where I turned this **** off. How in the holy hell they thought this was a good game is beyond me, Im sick to my stomach for having wasted time on renting it even.Comment
