Just finished up and man, what a ride.

I was a little skeptical about this game, because the previews reminded me very little of the older Max Payne games. They were some ridiculously hard games + I was a bit younger at the time. I had to cheat to beat those games. All the weapons + infinite painkillers! I still remember how creepy those games were and how the way it was narrated really sucked you into the game. The same thing goes for MP3

This game was just flat out awesome. I loved the guns, brutality, etc. I'm usually not a HUGE third person fan, but this is a great game. The different places the game takes place are refreshing and it never gets stale.

I had to step away once or twice, then come back, but I completed it on Medium difficulty. I can see how free aim would be fun, after messing with it for a bit, I just preferred playing with the soft-lock.

Also, they did a great job of sort of going back and wrapping up Max's past and how he got where he was. Now it all makes sense to me.

Chapter 13 gave me the most trouble, but outside of that, I didn't die way too much.

Chapter 14 was one of the easier parts of the game, IMO. It took me about 4 tries to get past the opening part, but It's because I was trying to turn face and go up the conveyor belt and approach it that way, instead of going straight through the level and up the stair case. As soon as I went up the stairs, it got so much easier. In the airport terminal, I wasn't even really using bullet time. I was just popping out and getting head shots... the ending was satisfying.

Overall I would probably give this thing an 8.5/10, without even playing the multi player any. If it's anywhere near as good as I hear, this game could easily be a 9/10 for me.. Rockstar delivers, yet again.

I had made a tweet regarding my idea that the cover of Max Payne 3 featured a certain adult film star.

Apparently the real model didn't like that. (I'm still skeptical that this is actually the model due to her saying her "old" account will be deleted soon.)

One thing I enjoyed in the first 2 games was listening to the bad guys talk. It was pretty funny at times. Does that happen in MP3?

Well thats just it, you really dont know who is good and who isnt.

BTW for those having spawn killing problem go to free aim lobbies. It cuts it down a lot. Also I dont think im using anything but ID cards for a while. Lol. I love them.

I think she's Giovanna. And yes, the girl on the cover looks like Abella Anderson. Surprised to learn it's not.

not feeling the single player even after loving the last 2 games. maybe it's my TV but even though many parts look 'cool' or like there's a lot to them, I'm having a hard time actually seeing the enemies! it's like they are tiny and don't pop enough from the background ... part of it may be that the camera is pulled back to far, but I think it's also a depth problem of perception which many first person games suffer from.

I'm going to give multiplayer a shot ... if I'm not into it then I may play as much SP as I can stomach and get rid of it.

OH and MAX isn't funny anymore
