I like the vendetta feature. Its great going on kill streaks and having all these people mad at you only to kill them again denying their vendetta lol Finally won my first deathmatch. It seemed i was always being thrown in to games in progress.

I seem to agree with most about those laser sights, they are terrible in this game. Also just realized for things like the laser sight and flashlight, you can actually turn them off and on with the select button on the ps3, not sure what button it would be on xbox 360. I wish I had known this during my first playthrough of the campaign.

I never played any of the Max Payne games.
I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, but not L.A. Noire. Do you think it would be a good game for me to buy?

Do they really have to make it so all enemies are morons who openly run at you guns blazing? Its as if there is no plan, just run right at you and because I cant seem to come to the realization that they wont stop doing it, it amazingly enough continues to catch me off guard.

I thought the AI was good for the most part.

Yes. It's better mechanically than either RDR or GTA. It's not open world though.

Amazing single player. That said, maybe not as worth the $60 as i originally thought. The multiplayer is just not as enticing.

No, not at all. The story stands on its own.

There are a few allusions and a name drop or two but that's it. Its nice to have played the first 2 for context as far as how Max Payne ends up the guy that he is in 3, but either way the game does a good job of letting you know Max has had a rough go at it.

You could probably just watch recaps of the first two on Youtube if you really wanted to know anything going in to this one.

Was I the only one who always thought the true ending of Max Payne 2 was the one (The ending when you beat it on the highest difficulty) where Mona Sax is still alive? Granted, given the passage of time she's still probably dead by the time the events of MP3 occur but I was annoyed by the games singular mentioning of her as though she wasn't a fixture in both original games

Was just discussing this with 42, but this is, hands-down, the GOTY so far for me. Awesome story, awesome gameplay, looks fantastic... It's the whole package. Rockstar does it again.

That was apparently not the canon ending. And good that it wasn't. It's far more interesting to the character this way.
