It's ok. I'd say it's about 6 from what I've played. Only rented it of course. If your partner AI actually worked and did what it's supposed to then it might be a 6.5 with an outside shot at 7. Of course they went and made it a very important part of the game required to destroy particular enemies and since it doesn't work right 99% of the time it makes things pretty unenjoyable in a lot of parts as you'll end up sitting there waiting for the 1% of the time it will work. Also since the non-partner AI has eyes in the back of their heads that makes it even worse.

Re: Terminator: Salvation
This is not a bad game at all, but a bit unbalanced. Some levels you just make your way with ease and others you get stuck at some points having to repeat a certain section a few times. This was a rush job imo and it could have been so much more. The gameplay is really good, I like the GOW style + you have to use strategy to defeat the machines. I can't complain there.
The length of the game, its way too short. Some of the story makes no sense at all and is not as intriguing. The cut scenes aren't bad from a presentation standpoint, which I don't understand the reviews bashing their quality. The AI sometimes can be a help and other times they get you so darn frustrated in areas where you die over and over because they could have helped you out.
There are a few weapons total including grenades and pipe bombs. This is understandable because in the movies they don't go crazy with the amount of weapons used by the humans.
If GRIN can build off of this engine, they could probably make a cool sequel. I think those that enjoyed Wanted will like this game too. I know there are a bunch of you out there.
My PS3 locked up a few times on this game. I have been reading that others have had the same problem.
Good thing I had trade-in's for this and UFC so it only cost me a few dollars for both. I think GRIN is turning into the quick cash-in studio for movie tie-ins. It's not worth the $60 or even $50 imo. I am a huge Terminator fan so for me this was a must. I had fun with the game and really wish it was longer with more polish. In no way is this a terrible movie game, I have played much much worse.
and WTF! with the loading times, even though the game installs. LOL!Comment

Re: Terminator: Salvation
After finishing it I'd put it down to about a 4.5. Last 3 levels are full of terrible design, your AI partners get even worse (isn't it ironic this is one of the things that ruins a game about super AI that is actually intelligent?),there's the T-600 glitch (I don't know how that's even possible to get in the programming or how anyone missed it in testing) and no pay off/significant battle in the end. There's some decent action to be had but it's far outweighed by the WTF moments.
It's already dropped $10 on amazon.Comment

After watching the movie today, GRIN, I am even more disappointed with you. This was a total rush job considering ths is a prequel to the new movie that could have also fleshed out the film's content.

Re: Terminator: Salvation
Wow, only played two levels but this game is ultra annoying in two ways.
1) Brain dead AI. Let me just stand there at shoot at a car while the enemies have my back turned to them.
2) Connor is a bitch in this game. Connor to this, Connor do that. I really don't need people complementing me all the time and especially telling me where to go before I start going. I understood if the AI was to help me out if I got lost or stood around the same spot.
The soundtrack is great though and the cover system is surprisingly good. The thumbstick mechanic is something Gears should steal.Comment

Just gave the game a rent... words cannot describe how truly awful it is. Last-gen graphics, kludgy controls, awful AI, loading screens up the wazoo... it's all here. What a cluster ****.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Got my first freeze. The easy trophies are nice, but I don't think I'm going to have the patience to finish the game.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers
