Looks like Blockbuster may be going out of business, so I need to get a new game soon with the trade-in money I have there. What's everyone's favorites right now. I wasn't planning on buying a new game until NCAA came out.

Re: Any good new games? (Blockbuster might be shutting down)
Well all the blockbusters in my area closed down 2 years ago. But here are some good games, well worth buying anyway.
1. Wheelman
2. The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
3. The Godfather II
4. Wanted
5. Killzone 2
6. Halo Wars
7. Resident Evil 5
8. MLB 09: The Show
Really it is a lot of games to choose from that came out this year alone that are good.Comment

Well you know it was going to happen when Netflix and Gamefly came out. People are lazy.....why drive to rent movies and games when you can have it streamed to your house and mailed to your house.Comment

Netflix is much cheaper, has a far better selection, more convenient, and doesn't have anywhere near the bureaucratic problems of Blockbuster (such as movies you returned months ago never getting checked in).Comment

Re: Any good new games? (Blockbuster might be shutting down)
It's not a lazy thing, it's that I was paying $4.99 for a single 3 day new release blu ray rental, and I could get $9.99 unlimited blu-rays per month with Netflix.
It's a cost thing really. That and I kind of despise blockbuster for the way they do things.Comment

Brick and mortar "video stores" will soon be a thing of the past. In two years Blockbuster and Movie Gallery will be gone and the stores that survive will have turned completely into GameRush or GameZone stores.
I work at a Movie Gallery and I've seen the writing on the wall for a while now. Cash in your credit while you can guys.Favorite Sports Teams
NFL - Carolina Panthers
NBA - Charlotte Hornets
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
College Basketball - Wake Forest
NCAA Football - Appalachian StateComment

Yeah, I agree that major B&M video stores are quickly going downhill and soon will be gone. I think that mom and pop video stores will still be around forever, but the internet rentals will continue to dominate.Comment

Damn, didn't we just have a thread a week or so ago about people switching from Netflix over to Blockbusters rental service? Haha, the irony...Comment
