Re: Sacred 2
Thanks man, I found this out yesterday when viewing the map. We are so hooked on this game. We both hit level 20 last night.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: Sacred 2
Well the more I play this game the more I enjoy it.
Couple questions:
When playing Coop (not hosting) does the game save the quests you complete or do you have to do them again by yourself.
Has anyone got their Gamestop DLC addon to work, me and my friends still cant get it to work.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: Sacred 2
Not sure on the quest progress. I can check with a toon that I played last night when I joined. I don't think it necessarily does, though, because if you join some random game with 25 more quest completed than you, it would make it impossible to play in most cases.
As for the Gamestop code, it's on the front page of their Support site. There's a snafu in the download tech and they don't work right now. They will later, but right now none of them work. I had to go check because mine gave me the invalid message as well.Comment

Re: Sacred 2
Man, my friend and I picked this up today and it's way too addicting. We spent 6 hours this afternoon fighting, doing side quests, collecting loot, etc.....the spells, weapons, and armor in this game are great. It took me about a 1/2 hour to learn not to tap the A button to fight, rather hold it in and my weapon swings continuously....doh!!! I'm glad I picked it up, it's very addicting. It's even better once you zoom in on your character and get used to the camera angles. I haven't touched the single player yet, but am looking forward to it. My character has died 3 times on the silver level and my friends has died twice. You really get attacked in numbers in some parts and have to watch your health. This is going to get many, many, hours of play time. We made it to level 8 each, only 192 more to go. Haven't found any mounts yet, but my friend did pick up some type of fire-cat as a pet that follows him as a high elf. I'm playing the part of Temple Guardian and the gear is pretty wild thus far. I look like some sort of cyborg. The only bad things I have to say about the game thus far is it's difficult to find one another on the map if you get to far away from one another and occasionally you see your character gliding when you are standing together in a town. We've also had to tele-port a couple times to a certain location to find one another again, but if you look hard enough and pay attention to the direction you are heading, you'll be able to retrace your steps and find one another. Also, if you pre-ordered the game, you get some sort of treasure imp that you can call for and it keeps you from traveling back to town to dump your junk.
That's good to hear!BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: Sacred 2
Seems pretty decent so far. Nothing great but it's not bad either. Could use a bit more customization.
I'd also like to know what the heck happend to my quests? I accepted a few others then some just dissappeared at random? Now I don't have the blacksmith or hirees tutorials.Last edited by goh; 05-15-2009, 05:43 PM.Comment

Re: Sacred 2
Yeah, I've been attacked multiple times adjusting my inventory, etc...but I kind of like it, it makes you feel like you are that character. If that character was truly me, I'd be watching my back everytime I put something in a chest, etc...sounds stupid, but I like how it really makes you feel like you are that character.Last edited by highheatkingsb; 05-17-2009, 07:33 PM.Highheat's O's Franchise

I guess the "save game" button might be your best friend here if you don't want to be attacked at any given time?ByurrulzIdon'tfollowComment

Re: Sacred 2
Most of that was because of multiplayer issues. If somebody walks off and pauses, then all the other players are screwed. It's a lot like an MMO, so I'm pretty used to it at this point, but if you haven't played one before it can be annoying.
Since you're pretty much always online (unless you deliberately change it to offline, or don't have XBL) people can jump in or out, so it's always active and unpaused.Comment

Re: Sacred 2
I also hated the AI on escort missons. It was a good idea to have them try to run away. It was a good idea to have them warp to you if they get lost somehow. It was a bad idea to have them run so far away they get warped to you in the middle of a fight. Also bad having them run straight into the monsters. Then there's the part where you have to protect more than one person and they all run off in different directions. It was good intentioned at least.Comment

Re: Sacred 2
There are definitely some oddities in offline vs. online, and strange design decisions, but overall it's one of my favorite games on the system, warts and all.Comment

Re: Sacred 2
I have a quick question. My brother bought this for the PS3 last week and he is not connected online, but he said he couldn't play SP w/ online. Is that true or was he doing something wrong? ThanksComment
