Re: Dolby Digital/Pro Logic II audio hookup question....
you need an optical digital cable. you will need one for each console. you may want to be sure your reciever has two optical inputs. the cables are not cheap by the way. when you are in dolby digital mode there should be some indicator on your reciever. i set mine to auto decide and if it recieves a digital signal it plays it that way. i cant speak about the game cube cause i never owned one. for the xbox you will have to get the advanced a/v pack to plug in the cable. for ps2 you just plug it in the back. -

Re: Dolby Digital/Pro Logic II audio hookup question....
do you guys notice a difference? right now I'm just using the component video and audio, but was thinking of picking up the optical digital audio cable, because my reciever supports it, but if there's not much of a difference I won't botherNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

As Heelfan stated, if you have a surround setup, then get a cable. If you have the full 5.1 setup, then you will really enjoy an new dimension of your Xbox.Comment

I picked the stuff up (needed the Xbox advanced av kit too) and it sounds just great. Playing Mechassault makes you feel almost like you're there. Such a big difference, thanks for pointing this out!Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Damn mgoblue, I can't believe you had a DD5.1 receiver and were not using it. That's like having a Porche 911 Turbo and never getting out of 3rd gear.
It makes a huge difference, I can't even play games without a good sound setup anymore.PSN: christophertoyComment
