Need Help on a good PC Gamepad-Which One?

Getting a new PC and need a good gamepad similar to a PS2 or Xbox control that will be good for HH2004 PC! Thinking about the Logitech Wingman or the Gravis Eliminator! Anyone had good experience with one for their PC or have advice on which are good bets? Help is mucho appreciated!

I have the Gravis gamepad Pro. It looks almost exactly like a PS 2 controller with the button layout exactly the same. It is a great controller for High heat 2004 (basically if you have played the High heat series on the PS 2, you should have no problems). It is USB and plug and play. I have Windows XP and the system recognized it immediately and installed the proper drivers. It also comes with a program disc that basically allows you to re-map the buttons and configure them in any way you want. For sports games, this pad is the bomb. I play HH 2004 and Madden and it has given me no problems what so ever. Highly recomended.

I use my XBox controller on my PC. Just had to cut one extension on the XBox off, then grabbed a USB mouse and cut the end off...spliced the wires together (perfectly color coded, the yellow wire isn't needed). Downloaded XCtrl and my XBox pad works perfectly on my PC. Accept no substitutes...use what you're used to

            I like that idea, Terry!

Barring that, however, I'd recommend the original Microsoft Sidewinder. It's not sold anymore, but you might find it on half.com or ebay. Until the Xbox Controller S, that was my favorite gamepad of all time.

I liked the Axis Pad (copycat PS2 pad with dual analog sticks and a D-pad), but once I got that S controller working, I haven't looked back. The S controller is my favorite of all time
