Wow IGN posts 31-40 and there are some shockers

Madden 96 beats Halo
and Half Life (a game that most would say is top 10) shows up at 32.

Theif 2 a great game in it's own right is #35 and Deus Ex is at 40? Sorry but I don't see that.

I had my doubts about their top 100, but now they're just insane. Granted, Meele was a great game....but it had NOTHING on HALO!

My money is on Super Metriod for their #1 spot. IGN just wouldn't give Zelda the crown, they want "shock and awe."

Halo isn't going to be too high because it brought a very polished game to the table, but it was still another FPS. While Nintendo maybe aren't as awesome as they were a few years back, there isn't another company that can touch the quality of there games, and that shows in the top 20 as well. Anyone who's had the pleasure of being in the SNES generation will tell you that.

Halo isn't going to be too high because it brought a very polished game to the table, but it was still another FPS. While Nintendo maybe aren't as awesome as they were a few years back, there isn't another company that can touch the quality of there games, and that shows in the top 20 as well. Anyone who's had the pleasure of being in the SNES generation will tell you that.

You see that is where I tend to disagree and is what I always hear from Nintendo fans.

PS I just picjed up my 4th or 5th Gamcube today (can't keep track anymore) so I am doing my part to help their sales.

I realize you used the term with a compliment but my issue is with "another".

You call Halo "another" FPS. On that same note I could say that every Mario sequel is simply another platformer. Zelda sequels are another polished adventure game. SSBM is simply another fighting game. Metroid sequels are yet another action/adventure game. Pikimin is yet another strategy game.

Don't hold a game back simply because it was not the first of it's kind. BMX XXX was revolutionary because it brought strippers and porn into gaming, yet did not make it a good game.
