I just googled it and have to say that's a pretty cool thing. If I do eventually feel the desire to get a Wii, I think I might scoop that up for the wifey. We is looking more appealing as more apps show up worth the time.

Re: ea active for the wii

I got it yesterday. I really like it.

There are 25 different activities, and they are divided into exercises that are similar to the mini games from Wii Sports. For example, baseball is one of the activities, and there is a pitching game (you use the Wiimote to throw at stacks of milk bottles), a hitting game (15 pitches for bp), a catching and throwing game (you catch a ball and then throw it at a target). Volleyball has activities based on setting, bumping and serving. And - there are all of the various lunges and strength exercises.

The real strength of the game is that you can link these activities together into workouts and set goals based on how much you want to work out and how many calories you want to burn, etc. I plan on doing this every day, and can see myself designing a bunch of workouts that are 15-20 minutes long with a combination of baseball, tennis and volleyball exercises mixed with lunges, squats, running and other strength/cardio exercises.

I'm going to get this as soon as I'm off work

            Thanks for the impression steelersfan

Does it come with the resistance band and leg strap or is that sold alone?

Also can you do two or more players at once

It comes with one resistance band and one leg strap. The resistance band is terrible though. I picked up a real one from a sporting goods store for $9.

You can definitely do two player workouts. It is one of the big selling points of the title.

Is it really terrible? I bought it but haven't opened it yet. Plan on doing it on my next workout day (tomorrow)

Can you use regular resistance bands? I bought an extra pair from gamestop with the leg strap. I have some plain resistance bands at home too but can I use those for this?

If I could mix this in with the P90X and my sand dunes workouts then it would be terrific.

You can use any resistance bands you want. I just picked this up and will probably get a new band to use...but the one that came with it is probably good for women and whatnot, they can't ship a decent one and have it be too much for people.

This is a pretty fun workout, gotta get into it more, but I like how it engages you and keeps you going, mixing things up. Much cooler than Wii Fit, and we'll see if I can integrate it into my day (along with my normal sports and working out). I keep active, but just not always something every day religiously...

its awesome.. fun and strenuous at the same time if you put up a good customized 40+ minute workout.

I havent tried the 30 day challenge module yet but I cant wait to start it.

Want to burn the legs from squats, get some cardio from running or boxing, its there

23, are you using the balance board for this too? I want to get the game, but I don't have Wii fit, and therefor don't have the balance board. Is the game still good without it?

It uses the balance board but only for certain excercises. The wife uses it and has done 5 of the workouts on the 30 day challenge so far. Day 2 never even used the balance board so I wouldn't worry about not having one.

She really likes this thing so far. Each workout is 25 to 30 minutes of actual workout time (for the challenge). Some days are upper body, some are lower, some are overall and it changes things up. There are instructional videos for everything and she loves that this has a trainer.

The only exercise she hasn't been able to register correctly is the tricep kickback. I tried it too and it says we are holding it wrong. Can't figure it out for some reason. It takes a little bit at first to get every exercise right.

Slymm you can do custom workouts and set it to as long as you want.

Last night I chose a bunch of different exercises that lasted 40 minutes ranging from easy to difficult. It projected me to burn about 360+ calories although I didnt reach the goal (and it lets you know you missed your mark), you have to push yourself while youre doing the workouts to burn calories

The calories you burn are on the screen so you see it as you go, it gives you a countdown of how many exercises are left, there is a trainer talking while you workout and cheesy music you can choose between while you play too,lol

You choose between cario, upper body, lower body and sports workouts. What ive come to see is that during the exercises like shooting the basketball, passing, the punching bag... it makes you do repetetive muscle motions properly (to get the best benefit).

I think my sensor bar is too low because sometimes i dont get the right responses but my daughter does being so little of course.

You dont need the wii balance board and you can use your own resistance bands
