Thanks for the input guys. I still haven't made my decision (leaning towards Fallout) but the reason I limited the options is because I'm not looking at purchasing another game right now.

As I mentioned, I'll hit up Mass Effect again when the sequel's release gets closer.

One thing about Oblivion though, does it have the same quest map markers as Fallout? I vaguely remember them existing, but if I recall correctly they were no where near as prevalent or useful as they are in Fallout. Plus, doesn't it get insanely difficult if you do a lot of quests and level up since the enemies level with you?

I play a lot of them, just on my PS3 (well...old PS2 games actually). I've also been tackling some of the Dragon Quest remakes on DS.

I just don't want to drop any money on a new game right now. Plus, a lot of the 360 JRPG impressions and reviews always seem to have one niggling thing that would make me lose interest in the game.

I had no real troubles following the quest maps. Plus all the traveling leads you to exploring and finding new areas / treasures etc... when you "fast travel" to much you can miss a lot of good things.

No it is not insanely difficult but rather a nice challenge throughout the game. Instead of after getting so far leveled up the fighting becomes boring.
I've went back to places previously visited and had easy time of 'clearing" the enemies. So just because you level up doesn't mean every fight is a challenge.

I want to check out Lost Odyssey myself, but from reading some of the reviews there are some things that can turn a person off. The PS1/PS2 JRPG's were so great and it feels like this generations JRPG's have one thing or another wrong with them.

Two of the better games on 360 if you really like RPG's....IMO and yes I know you are entitled to you opinion also. It just shocked me a bit on how you labeled them....
                I know everyone loves them.

Since PS2 is an option,if you can find it,I say get Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.

Well I decided to tackle Fallout 3 again...with Oblivion being next on the list (fully dependent on the release date for Mass Effect 2, since a replay of the first one is at least 30-50 hours).

I'll hit Fable II again eventually.
