What a freakin' joke!! they've got 2 Zelda games in the top 10, and neither are the original!! A Link to the Past was damn good...but to ignore The Legend of Zelda is dumb. I think the argument could be made that it was THE BEST game of all time. #1 out of 100, as opposed to not even making the cut!! IGN is moronic. And while this one is debatable, I think the original Metroid probably belongs somewhere on the list...

The list was horrible. If it was one persons opinion I could deal with it. Sadly this was a "think-tank" project from all the IGN editors. I guess they forgot to buy the tank.
Of course other then the first Zelda this list is an homage to NES. -

I wouldn't say the list was horrible, but Zelda definitely deserved to be on the list.
I disagree about it being an homage to the NES. There are several classic arcade games that certainly deserved to be on the list (Discs of Tron and Star Wars, and Street Fighter II especially). I agree, the first Zelda should be on that list, but I think they just took the best Zelda game in that generation. As for the the orignial Metroid, that didn't come close to Super Metroid(I agree with IGN on that one). My question is where was Mario Bros.3 & Mortal Kombat on the that list?
I think EGM did a better job on their 100 greatest games of all time.Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.Comment

yeah it seems I could come up with a better list or so in a week. Even though they left out Xenogears(my personal fav. game), who the hell do they think they are kidding by not putting Final Fantasy 7 on the list at all.Comment
