    Re: Def Jam Rapstar

Tracklist will make/break this game for me personally. Needs:

    Nas
    2Pac
    Common
    Eminem
    Jay-z

Good to see Biggie getting some love.

IMO Def Jam Icon wasn't THAT bad of a game they could have been in development for another improving on all of the areas that needed to be improved instead of....this..

They've already got 1 DLC song up but I don't remember what it is. Wasn't Run DMC,Sugarhill Gang,2Pac or Snoop Dogg or anything like that.

Looking at that list, it seems full of radio hits and not the rapper's best song. And umm Drake and Soulja Boy shouldn't even be on the list at all. I would rather have had Common on there or another 2pac song before those 2 pop rappers.

Other than Nelly and Soulja Boy(don't have TOO much of a problem with Drake although I could PROBABLY do without that)that's actually not a bad tracklisting. Leaning toward making this a "lock" purchase for me.

Yeah, but you know they would never release anything other than hit songs. Too much money to be made. Still would like to see something solely dedicated to pre-2000 music. I would love some Jeru the Damaja, GZA (more Wu overall really) and some early 90's Gangstarr. Nice that they have T.R.O.Y. from Pete Rock and CL Smooth though, one of my personal favorites of all time.

Filling it full of B sides and stuff off mixtapes wouldn't help sales. That's what DLC is for. I linked to a preview earlier in the thread that says they've got like 2000 songs licensed already. Good chance whatever you're looking for will be there eventually.

I didn't even bother clicking play on that video. Seeing the picture alone made me knew what was coming and it would've involved a ton of me shaking my head.
