Re: Halo: Reach
I haven't played a lot of Halo since last gen, but I picked this one up and have been enjoying it. I was amazed at how difficult the campaign is on heroic, and also how polished everything is. The objectives can get a little repetitive (kill, kill, kill) but the variation of vehicles and enemies has made it quite fun.
Online, the game has been a blast due to the massive variety of game types. I've really enjoyed playing oddball, headhunter, invasion, and other a-traditional game types. Slayer and such has been pretty fun, but I am still adjusting to certain aspects.
If I had a critique at this point, it would be that it takes way too many bullets to down an enemy. I don't have the stick skills other guys do, so at the combat sometimes devolves to one of those Fair Games where you aim the water at the clown's mouth: you just spray each other with 2 clips and see who drops first. Then whoever won loses the next one because their health is lower. For this reason, I've found SWAT to be a lot more fun, can't wait till it's its own playlist.GT: Teambayern5

Throwing grenades weaken your opponent's armor shields and melee attacks when close do as well. So, a combination of bullet damage focused mainly on the cranium region, grenades and melee strikes will help get you more kills online. You have to weaken their shields and then finish them offXBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Re: Halo: Reach
Also to add to the help, control your DMR shots. If you time and space your shots out right, you'll get 5 shot kills every time if you aim for the head. But if you're up close to the guy, spray away!Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Halo: Reach
This so far is what I've been struggling with, is perfecting the timing on the shots. I usually am just mashing the trigger shooting as fast as I can, but I'm wondering if that's making some of the shots less accurateComment

Re: Halo: Reach
At work so I can't watch the video (no sound), but thanks a lot! I'll check that out when I get home. Maybe if I can get the DMR timing right I can improve my ratio from 1.3 or whatever it is right now.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
Grenade Launcher is easily one of the better weapons in the game (in the right hands of course), but no one seems to use it.

Re: Halo: Reach
i have it rented. I had to bring it back because i was underwhelmed and didn't understand the praise...BUT i realized they packed ODST instead of Reach so I brought it back and got the correct disc.
Reach is head and shoulders better than all the other games. The guns feel slightly more powerful too and everything from the controls to graphics are much better than other halo games
I'm not really a halo fan, but can say reach is quite fun. I thought from what I played of ODST that it wasn't too great and I hated some of the graphical elements. Reach is jst so much more quality.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
I like the grenade launcher a lot, though I don't use it with the pistol as often as I should.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Halo: Reach
Always try to pair the grenade launcher with a headshot weapon, the emp+headshot combo is great.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
lol, kinda reminds me of the noob combo that was so prevalent in Halo 2, except that the grenade launcher here actually takes some skill to use. But same general philosophy, drain shields with weapon one, headshot with weapon two for the insta-kill.Lux y VeritasComment
