That's exactly what I was thinking. I was trying to get a game with Candyman but, it wouldn't let me join. I'm definitely liking this game so far. The entire package is just insane. I'm not sure if I'll have time for this and COD when it comes out in Nov.

Re: Halo: Reach
Maybe best to rent it then. I have no I idea why some on OS buy the next Halo when they either didn't like the previous games, or they didn't hold their interest for very long.

Re: Halo: Reach
Kotaku
There is much to love about Halo: Reach, but looking back at my nearly two times through the game and a day spent playing it online, they single thing that sticks with me the most is its setting, its majestic take on a planet that doesn't exist. Bungie has outdone themselves with the game's look, stringing together set-piece after set-piece until there is nearly nothing left.
Halo: Reach is unquestionably the best of the Halo games, and that's not a small thing to say. But Bungie doesn't just match the best of every Halo game that came before it, they've improved it, streamlined it, perfected it. Gone are sections of tedium and vacuous game design, gone too is the almost cartoon look of the earlier games and the narrow vision of the places in which they took place. In many ways, Halo: Reach feels like a coming of age title, but not for the characters or the world or the universe Bungie created, but for the studio itself.
Halo: Reach is a fantastic package, with several core components that on their own can outclass many other games. The campaign is excellent, backed by solid storytelling and a powerful audio-visual experience. The competitive multiplayer is familiar, yet brand new with a lot more options and a faster pacing. And the cooperative Firefight arcade mode has finally met its potential. Whether you like playing with friends like me or you're more of a lone wolf, Halo: Reach has evolved to the point where it'll make everyone happy. It's a fitting end to Bungie's involvement with the franchise, one that both references the past and injects new life into a tried and true formula. Newcomers and Halo fans alike will find plenty to love in Halo: Reach. Even if you've grown tired of the Halo formula through the years, I'd still recommend this game to you. It's just that good.
Nine years in and on its fifth and final pass Bungie has created the definitive Halo experience, in which refinement is matched by the gentle revolutions of its new features. Armor abilities lend spark to a campaign that already boasts some of the series' finest level design and most stirring set-pieces, and they help enliven a multiplayer set that's beyond generous. It's a parting gift from Bungie that should keep players entertained through to the next generation; and if any other console shooter can better it in that time it'll be one hell of a feat.
I called it a monument at the start, and that's just it. Reach is an encore, a victory lap, a crowd-pleasing last hurrah for a series that most definitely won't end here, but will just as definitely never be the same again. Halo deserves another game this good, and Reach is a deserving tribute.
But after seeing the perfect last shot of the campaign (in fact, it's so spot-on, that Bungie community director Brian Jarrard confirms that, unlike previous titles, there's no additional cinematic or end-scene for finishing on Legendary difficulty -- everyone sees the same last scene), and playing round after round of multiplayer, I can say that while I admire and respect every previous Halo title, Reach is the Halo that I absolutely love.
Bungie has left us with a ****-ton to enjoy; not to mention the developer's planned, ongoing daily and weekly challenges to earn extra credit. There's more than enough content on the disc and tools to tweak that content in subtle and unexpected ways for the community to thrive without its maker. Rest assured, with this fourth [wink] Halo game now ours, we should let Bungie leave the franchise in peace.
There's an art to iteration. ODST could have been a clever little shimmy, but it came out a misstep. Reach brings us right back into the dance that hooked us nine years ago, introduces some cool new steps, and leaves us twirling in enchantment as Bungie graciously bows out. Just keep twirling, Spartan.
The robust and extensive suite of features make for a compelling overall package. It's an incredible campaign, and its less bombastic plot and clear-cut story stop it from getting bogged down in the sense of being overworked. Bungie has clearly proven it can step out of Master Chief's gigantic shadow, although I'm not so sure Microsoft will be able to do the same. Anyone following the Halo series for the last decade couldn't ask for a better game, as Bungie has exited its most precious series with one almighty, planet-shattering bang.
Bungie wouldn’t have it any other way. Halo is their story, and with Reach you feel they have just closed the book. It may not have the lasting impact of Combat Evolved, but as a refinement of the idea --the essence-- of Halo, it is their finest work yet. And maybe, just maybe, they want Halo to end right here and now, as they finally close this glorious circle that they have created. When you touch down on Reach as Noble Six, your leader, Carter, takes you aside and says: “You are stepping into shoes we would rather were left unfilled.” Sounds like a message. And on the evidence of this spectacular send-off, filling Bungie’s size 12s might just be impossible.
Destructoid - 10
We know that the planet Reach will fall at the hands of the Covenant. Yet, the journey from start to finish is such a great ride that you hope in the back of your mind that things will play out differently because you're in control. Of course, that doesn't happen, but the events of Reach lead directly into Halo: Combat Evolved and as we know, humanity eventually does defeat the Covenant.
Halo: Reach is everything a Halo fan has ever dreamed for. All that was lacking from previous Halo games is here and then some. This is Bungie's love letter to their fans and they've definitely gone out with a bang.
If you play Reach only for the campaign which, by the way, also supports 4-player co-op with scaled enemy AI, you’re going to get your money’s worth. But if you go beyond the highly-polished, immaculately-produced solo story, you’ll discover one of the best deals since Wendy’s Dollar Menu. Counting Halo Wars, Reach is the series’ sixth standalone entry, so sure, there’s plenty here that will be familiar to anyone who’s picked up a Plasma Pistol or piloted a Warthog. But Bungie’s also injected their tried-and-true formula with enough fresh ideas and refinements to make this the best Halo entry yet; and that’s saying a hell of a lot given the absence of Master Chief’s boot prints on planet Reach. The only thing missing from this impressive entry is a number “4” in the title, because for all intents and purposes, Reach feels like the next big thing in the Halo franchise.
Looking at everything provided by Bungie and the potential for user-generated content, Reach is the biggest shooter to ever hit a console. More importantly, the game is just downright fun from start to finish, especially if you're going to be playing online. It is a true work of love from the folks at Bungie and has been constructed to be playable for many years; a fine send off as Bungie transitions to its first new IP in a decade. It is a prequel and doesn't have Master Chief, but this truly is Halo 4. Get this game.
