Re: Halo: Reach
How do you do an assassination? Is it just melee? Even looked in the manual, nothing even mentioned.Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
A little tidbit for those wanting to use a 4GB Slim with no HDD.
Microsoft’s newer, slimmer Xboxes that don’t come with the 250GB hard drives (but do come with 4GB of internal memory) cannot play certain Halo: Reach gametypes because of an apparent lack of storage available to cache levels and other game code.
Tests by Nukezilla show that the Xbox slim 4GB brings up an error message when attempting to join a co-op campaign mission.
Surprised? Well you should’t be, it’s a known feature (not a bug), as is apparent by the issue being the number one FAQ on Halo: Reach‘s Xbox page.
Q1: The error “One or more players do not have an Xbox 360 Hard Drive. An Xbox 360 Hard Drive is required to play co-op on Xbox LIVE or system link” occurs when I try to play. Why?
A1: One or more players do not have a certified Xbox 360 hard drive attached to their Xbox 360 console. Some multiplayer aspects of Halo: Reach require an Xbox 360 certified hard drive.
This means that console owners who bought the game and have a brand new slim 4GB Xbox have a huge chunk of the game’s functionality missing. A forum post on Bungie.net dated from back in August describes similar problems with Halo 3: ODST, with the issue left unresolved.
So to be clear:
* This only affects the new slim 4GB Xbox 360s.
* Adding extra storage through USB sticks etc. doesn’t seem to fix the problem.
* Standard multiplayer isn’t affected by this issue.
* It’s only a problem on co-op, although we’re currently trying other modes.
* It appears to be a problem on every Halo game. We’ve seen reports saying there’s issues with Reach and ODST.
* If you have a 4GB Xbox Slim and you’re in the UK, you’re going to have to wait until the end of September to the be able to buy the £80 hard drive you need.
* US gamers can get a 250 GB hard drive from Amazon for $129.99 here.
Update: Amusingly the UK retailer Comet are selling an Xbox 360 4GB Slim bundled with Halo: Reach.Comment

Ok I posted this in the other forum but I think I could get sone answers here as well.
Ok I had an black slim and used it up until yesterday when I purchased the Reach Slim. I took the harddrive out of the Black Slim and threw it into the Reach Slim. Load it up and it says, "No memory detected". Im like WTF and put it back into the Black slim and all my memory is there. I try it again with the 360 slim and it still doesnt detect the memory however when I put the Hard drive that came with Reach into the Reach slim it detects the few stuff that came with it.
If Microsoft screwed this up to where Hard drives are linked the console they are with then Im going to be severely pissed.

Re: Halo: Reach
Is it just me, or is map rotation horrible? I honestly played The Cage and Asylum 10+ times each. I have yet to play reflection (I've only seen it once and no one voted for it) and all of the other non-forge maps but Zelot. Hope they can make it so you don't play the same maps over and over.
Also I have a little question. Does anyone know if Bungie is planning to bring back playlists like Action Sack, Grifball, Infection, etc back into Reach in the next few weeks after launch?Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Halo: Reach
If the map rotation is a problem, it will be fixed.
Except for Action Sack those gametypes are in custom games. I don't know if they will eventually get their own playlists in matchmaking, or just be apart of double EXP (or credits) weekends like with Halo 3. I do know not everything is online yet like campaign matchmaking, Firefight classic and vs.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Halo: Reach
I have to say, I'm very impressed with the polish of the game. I was awful in multiplayer my first few games, then after I was always in the plus K/D column. Going to take awhile to erase a 6/25 and a 3/19 game though. LOL
Firefight is awesome as well, better than it was on ODST.
Haven't touched campaign yet, probably will soon, but the rest of the package just has me sucked in. Especially considering I got it for basically $40, this is a winner.Comment
